People have been disqualified for typing 'ppp' instead of 'pp' when requaesting a pause, for typing 'gg' with the keyboard accidentally on Korean and thus typing a different thing (the only things you can chat are 'pp' and 'gg' apparently) and more silly things.

If you accidentally hit enter, then a and then enter again you typed that in chat, illegal, and you get disqualified.

KeSPA rules are ridiculously nazi. I like the laidback style of GSL much more.

Ultimately, it was still a bad call by the referee in this case despite all of the good reasons to call a match if someone pauses.

Rules are made as a guideline, referees are expected to use their intelligence and best judgement as to how to enforce said rules.  In this instance the referee wasn't using his best judgement as he should have.

Your example is both stupid and asinine as rules are completely different from laws. Also, killing people is a long stretch from pausing a game at the start.
