Saw them a few days ago. Best live band I've ever seen and got to meet them. Just like everyone said they are really really nice people and seem to love what they do.
just met these guys in atlanta a month ago and holy shit, coolest band ever. all of them asked my girlfriend's and my name and signed autographs, even looked for a marker when they lost theirs. worth every mile of the 6 hour drive. will see them again anytime they come near.
@zxeros Yeah basically. I think in the original Adam uses some sort of hollowbody, which is like the main difference. But even then, you can make a hollow body sound almost exactly like an acoustic. so yeah it's pretty much the same.
@zxeros Responding to one-month-old comments yaaaaay. . . .
It is acoustic. Listen to the studio recording and compare it to this. Even if there weren't a difference between this and the studio version, it's acoustic, ie, not using electric guitars, etc.
What's lovely with being a Murder By Death fan is that through the years, we've seen Adam developed and gotten really comfortable with his voice. He has become really good at singing! And he is a great guitarist.
@Abaddon16cmz I really like murder by death's style but i haven't found any other americana bands that i like very much. so could you recommend some to me? it seems like a pretty sick style.
@noahdoesntcare Well, all I can think of at the moment is people they've toured with. The gaslight Anthem is good, old school rock and roll type with dark undertones, and HA HA Tonka, but it's way more country. Murder by death really are in a league of their own.
@Abaddon16cmz Oh I love the gaslight anthem, I saw murder by death went I went to the gaslight show, and I'm goin to see gaslight again in a couple of weeks. Haven't heard of that other band, I'll give it a try though, thanks man.
@noahdoesntcare Also I've seen them play with Lucero, The Builders and the Butchers, O'death, the mighty William Elliott Whitmore, and Mewithoutyou. All of whom are worth checking out, but yeah like that dude already said, 'they are in a league of their own.'

Hmmm the lambchops!!! I'd love to grab a hold o them!! A question...Whats the song that adam say's is about pirates?? I saw them play the other night in San Diago and i really wantto find that tune again, Arrgghhh!
saw them 3 days ago with rev horton heat. They are awesome lots of energy and put on a funny show. Go from something super serious with deep meaning then the next song he was just like ummm this song is about pirates. Not to mention sarah is super hot.
these guys are amazing live!!! i met them all!! got all their autographs!! except Alex...it's Dagan now =P but still...i met em all! got a picture with sarah, and a hug to!!! woooooo!!! hand shake from Dag and Adam...and a pat on the back from the bassist ^_^
i know, but they're my favourite band! and i've been waiting for so long to see them live! people they are, but they are people who make amazing music, that makes me happy, and makes me want to play guitar more! :)
thanks so much! i just asked my dad and we're going to the 11th april one! OMG *faints* i cannot believe i'm actually going to see my favouritest band ever LIVE!! ^_^
:D thanks to you telling me they were in London, i went there...was the most amazing performance i have ever seen by any band...PLUS, i met them ALL, got all their autographs, and got a picture and a brief chat with sarah ^_^
haha!...i almost was...sarah was the first person i met, no-one saw her but me yet...she was squeezing through people trying to get backstage, and i was thinking "ahh! it's Sarah!" and i just stepped in front without thinking and said "you're sarah aren't you??"...and behaved like a slightly crazed fan haha!...it was really cool...they were all just wandering around...when i saw adam after the gig, i did a kinda camp run towards him so i could speak to him first lol!!
the thing that replaces the drums reminds me of that commercial where it shows people doing stuff but they don't have the thing they need to do it...like "oops, forgot my drums guys..."
