this is the problem with demonstrations....all demos, it takes a long time to understand what is going on in these moves...it cannot always be shown in a quick glance like this....but what is with all the dislikes?
This is Yoshinkan Aikido and Master Gozo Shioda is also great at displaying master techniques like these. It looks like a joke but believe me...only a master can display Aikido in this form. It is the basis and foundation of what Aikido is. Just like other Aikido demos, the ukes who falls and flips beautifully are also as well trained as the nage. This is required for safety reasons ie by going with the flow so to speak. If not hence in reality, the result can mean a broken wrist or arm or wors

@xChuckNorrisKickx it not magic... it is the most basic of physics. Even a subtle, and understated, movement can displace another's center of gravity. That is all one needs to make an opponent fall.
There's different styles of aikido, and if I'm guessing correctly... It must be Yoshinkan, pretty interesting stuff. I don't agree with everything, but I respect sensei's skills.
Shame on you for disgracing aikido like that. Worthless ukes that are not doing there job by applying proper resistance. This is not O'senseis aikido, this is a joke.
