  • have ya heard? the bird is the word. XD

  • @drywolf1 fail

  • Hannukah is awesome!

  • chanukkah us in 7 days eat that !

  • The chanukkah bird? I'll have to check with a rabbi about that one. It probably gets it's gifts to give out of a Channukah bush I suppose? Chanukkah nowadays really is Christmas in disguise but most of the Jews will not admit to it! Why? It's because people give presents on Chanukkah. What did Saint Nicholas do? He gave goods and possessions to the poor. Jews give gifts on Chanukkah to keep Jewish youth from celebrating Christmas. It's that simple. It's nothing more than a rivalry.

Give me lyrics to this song.

  • lol this is awesome!!! too bad im not jewish, i want a visit from the bird!

  • I strongly agree with you HSWRATH. You are one of the lets say smarter people out there on Youtube. Seriously, you selfish people hate the Jews because you are Jealous of them. You are Jealous of how they care for family, how they are so simple, how they respect and pray to god. You need to get a life instead of commenting these racist and innapropriate comments on Youtube. GoodBye!

  • This Jew would NEVER be jealous of so-called Xmas. We have a wonderful heritage that predated the Christians.

Jesus knew this....he was a Jew!

Happy Chanukkah Jews...be proud...there is A LOT to be proud of!

  • jews forever

  • fuck you

  • fuck me

  • definitely.

  • Wow...Wow...Wow...*speachless*

  • Lol!!!

*gives video official Jewish stamp of approval*

Swedishguitarist- a jewish? A jewish what? XD

Elphie- I thought Husker was ranting at nothing until I saw your post.

So Re: you- Hannukah has NOTHING to do with Christmas. You know why Christmas is in December? Because thats when Yuletide was. Nobody knows if Jesus was ACTUALLY born in Christmas. Actually, from the positioning of the stars in the original Nativity scenes, they think he's born in July.

    Emsta- For sure! :D

  • Actually, it falls when it does in December because when the first Christianized Roman Emperor wanted to make Christ's birth an officially observed State Holiday to help convert the Roman Citizenry, he picked an already popular observance - the Winter Solstice - when almost all of the citizens gathered in Rome, as Christ's birth date. With the adoption of the Julian, and later the Gregorian, calanders the date of the solstice became Dec 21, and Xmas Dec 25. Early Christianity borrowed heavily

  • from Jewish, Roman and Greek observances and customs, and as it spread from Germanic, Celtic, and other "pagan" cultures. Why? It made it much easier for naitive populations to assimulate the new Christian Religion (much like the Borg - "Resistance is futile.")

There is actually very little in any Christian observance that is truly and purely "Christian". Rather it is a plethora of borrowed, adapted and transmuted customs, rituals, and mytho from other cultures and religions. TTSSYF!

  • The truth shall set you free. A mind is like a parachute: It must be open to work. It is amazing how many Christians do not even know the origins of the own religion - mainly because the various churches do not want their followers to know the truth.

  • i was watching this and decided to see the comments, and the second comment i saw was about religions :(

  • Did you even bother to read the entire thread from 2 years back? Beside overtly racist comments, there were a lot of misinformed people who thought that somehow the two holidays of Hannukah and Christmas were related, and didn't even know the historical origins of their own Christian celebrations and observances. Factual information is not wrong. Go back to the very beginning and read the whole thread through before making a less than intelligent comment.

  • no, because i don't care to join into your argue

and the second comment was enough for me

internet is wrong place to preach, unless you just want to "glow" over other people with your smartness...

  • No arguement, no attempt to prosteletize or convert people, and certainly no "preaching", just the statement of historical fact. I'm not "glowing" over other people, unless sheading a little light on a subject scares you in your "darkness". Again, go back and read the entire thread from two years ago before posting your misinformed comments.. Unless of course intelligent enlightenment is somehow threatening to you, and based off of your less than coherent response, you're seem to lack both.

  • "sheading a little light"

you should read your responses, it seems like argue, why would you want to show your point so much? seems like superiority complex to me

  • The word is "argument". To have the correct answer and share it with others is not a 'superiority complex', quite the opposite. Why are you so intent on commenting on me, not on those who made overtly racist and anti-semetic comments? Did something I said in stating HISTORICAL TRUTH upset your poor, distorted view of the world? Again, why the attack on my knowledge, unless it threatens your ignorance of the truth. You do know the earth is round and 4.2 billion years old, don't you?

  • argument = a discussion that occurs in which i'm right, but he/she/they haven't realized it yet

  • Your point is what? There has been no discussion, just your juvenile mewling. You still haven't made an intelligent comment, yet, and appearently never will. You completely miss the point that others either had questions or misconceptions about Hannukah which were answered, and positive comments were left for those anwers. You; however, still don't "get it" and you never will. Go comment on the racists' replies, unless you're one of them yourself, Either way, you're obviously ignorant!

  • i'm ignorant because i disagree with your opinion? great

  • Ignorance is stupidity by choice. You totally fail to see the point, which is that you are complaining to the wrong person about the wrong thing. Have you even bothered to go back to the beginning of this thread two years back and read it in its entirety (without moving your lips)? From your own less than lucid comments the answer is no. Again, why the original comment in the first place directed towards me, instead of commenting on the overtly racist and anti-semetic posts? You are not

  • addressing the original question, nor have you stated what, if anything, you found objectional in the questions and comments that were left a month ago. So yes, you are ignorant, not for having a differing point of view (which I would welcome for healthy debate and exchange) but because you are complaining for complaining's sake. So say something meaningful, if you can, to add to the exchange of ideas that was occuring before you tried to "illuminate" it with your pointless commentary.

  • what is stupidity? is it falling to a joke?

  • The saying is "falling FOR a joke", not "to a joke", so evidentally the stupidity and/or ignorance is on your part, which brings it all back to the first two "intelligent" (HA!) comments you made in this thread. If you can not discourse in an intelligent and lucid manner, then don't try.

To answer your two attempted questions in plain English: Stupidity is that you're unable to assemble a rational thought process throughout this thread, and the joke is that you even try.

  • oh no i spelled something wrong, if you're so smart and openminded then why do you response to every comment i post?

oh why are you even trying to explain this to me if i'm so stupid and ignorant?

i heard a saying that came from the bible, you see a trash in your brother's eye but you don't see that there's a bigger trash in your own eye or something like that

  • Because it's like watching a little bug run around in the dirt, it's fascinating for a while then you stop paying attention to it.

Once again, you show your ignorance, as the quote you try to feebly refer to is stick in your neighbor's eye while ignoring the log in your own, but I seriously doubt that you would understand what it means.

I am still trying to figure out why you commented on my post originally, and not one of the hateful ones. You still have not answered that, so the logical

  • supposition would be that you are any of the possibilities of ignorant, racist, or just a bored child trying to find something destructive to do with your time.

From your gramatical and syntax errors (not spelling) it is increasingly evident that for you it's ESL. Your ignorance of your own scripture also suggests a child-like view of the world.

  • Because it's like watching a little bug run around in the dirt, it's fascinating for a while then you stop paying attention to it.

now that starts to sound like superiority complex

  • No, not superiority in the least bit. Curiousity in the near mindless wanderings of a creature that isn't even aware of the fact that it is being observed, and the confirmation of the Mendlevian principle that stupid people shouldn't breed.

  • well, if i'm near mindless then why are you trying to explain anything to me?

  • Because even a flatworm, through operant conditioning, can be taught to respond to external stimuli. I push the button, you write something, I push the button, you write something. You glide around your petri dish and never realize there's something controlling you.

  • so now you're saying you control me?

  • Like a moth to a porch light, you keep coming back! Here, I'll push your button again, and sure enough, you'll post something again. Buzz, buzz. Now answer back like a well trained flatworm.

  • well, now that i think of it, you have answered to every comment i posted so far

  • so doesn't that make you a puppet aswell?

  • No, YOU have answered to every comment I have posted. I posted first, therefore anything you post is in response to me. Stimulus followed by response. Simple operant conditioning. Buzz buzz little flatworm, or should I say I pull your strings, Pinocchio. Q.E.D.

  • yeah, but you obsessively have answered everything i replied on, you missed the point

  • isn't it like symbiosis

  • No, you have answered to everything I have posted. I posted to the thread originally, you came in with a "comment" . There is no obsession, this is just a fun little diversion of my time, and remember you are responding to me, not the other way around. You confuse cause and effect. I provide the stimulus, you have no choice but to respond, you prove it every time.

No, not a symbiotic relationship, parasitic. You give nothing back. Buzz, respond flatworm, 'cause you can't resist it.

  • In fact, I could type any single random letter or symbol on the key board and you will answer, simply because you can not resist and are compelled to answer. You will respond to me every time, regardless.

Try to prove me wrong, you can't. Any response on your part proves me right.

  • it's a fun little diversion of my free time too

but you had to answer back to my reply what was pointed towards you, so you can't resist to reply back to me again :)

come on, prove me long, comment again

  • Hahahahaha

    uhhhh.....

how old are you two?? hahahahahaha

  • Evidently undulaatikko is about 12

  • Hahahahaha

and you? bout the same? cuz it shows hahaha

  • Yes, I suppose I shouldn't have dropped that far down to its level, but it was fun messing with it.

  • Awesome video. Loved how the kid was counting in Hebrew and Spanish.

  • I LOVE THIS!! you can send it as a card somewhere....

  • Chanuka has nothing to do with Christmas, the event it commemorates predates the birth of Jesus by almost 170 years. It is a holiday that celebrates Civil Rights, and it falls during the period of late November to late December because the Jewish calander is lunar based, not solar as is the Gregorian calendar, so it roughly falls around Christmas, but ALWAYS falls on the same eight days of the Jewish calender.

  • Hanukah is a holiday that celebrates the overthrow of the Greek Assyrian Army in the year 164 BCE. Led by Judah Maccabee, the Maccabean revolt reestablished the right of the Jewish people to worship their god - not the Greek gods. They finally were able to throw the Greek Army out of Jerusalem and clean and rededicate the temple. Thus, the hgoliday of Hanukah (many spellings in English) to commemorate the event. The books, I & II Maccabees can be found in the non-Protestant Appocrypha bible.

  • i thought it was related to how one days worth of oil lasted 8. but thats just what i learned in school. i never knew about the Greek Assryian Army.

  • The jar for one day lasting eight is Jewish Urban Legend added almost 500 years after the event. In actuality, the reason it lasts eight days is because they were unable to celebrate the harvest festival of Sukkoth, which lasts eight days, that fall. Upon rededication of the Temple, the first thing they did was to observe Sukkoth and thank G-d for the harvest that sustained them - a celebration that lasted eight days - and hence the celebration of Hanukah for eight days.

  • cool I didn't know that :)

  • LMAO!!!! i love it!!!

  • or you guys could stop bitching and just comment on the song.....

    Which was pretty tight BTW

  • that was awesome!

  • X(a converted Christian)who was brought up religious has in fact still a very religious definition of who is a jew.but one can have that kind also because of being antiracist.I myself had long the idea that i am not jewish, but just a human being who is claimed by religious jews and by antisemites to be a separate category of human being. But then, one day I decided to accept it-and become "a dissident jew."(that's what brought me to live in israel and join the peace movement)

  • but the zionists thought that discrimination can not be banned, therefore they wanted to live in a jewish majority state(jewish nationalism), and paradoxically used the religious books as source of the history of the jews.conclusion: until 2000 years ago we were a normal people in our country, we have to go back to that situation

  • that is fuckup and mean ok so shut it

I think it is verry Funny and cool and loL nice job

  • often are still a bit sentimental about some remnants of the religion and bc of the long history of antisemitism they also share with other jews a common fate, common angers, and collective anectdotes/memories-in short: a culture

zionism started as a movement of less-religious/non-religious European "cultural" jews who shared the wish to be able to live not as a discriminated minority but "normal."

  • awsomme!!!!!

  • actually im whole jewish

  • u cant be half jewish, your either full christian or full jew

  • metzy, unlucky day 'coz you're half right...

    1) remember there're more religions than Jedaism and Christianism

    2) Being Jewish - and pretty much any religion - is supposed to help people so they become better humanbeings, not selfish, not proud, not angry... BETTER HUMAN BEINGS;

    3) culturally, anyone is half something... even those whos mother died at child's birth, or whos father left or died... two families, mom's and dad's... two persons... two ways of seeing and living life;

  • 4) and then, once you grow, learn, study, work as hard as possible and then some, link your life back to God - if you ever broke it LOL-, link your life back to community, and behave ethically and observe some simple rules which God created for humans healthy lives, bodies and souls...

    then you're "full Jew"

  • of course, a Rabbi is the one to tell who's either actually or officially Jew, but trust me on this, some Jews do not behave according to our belief and ethic, and people who's lives had never anythong to do with Jewish communities and yet they behave and live as a "full Jew" without even notice.

    Happy Hanukkah :P

  • if it is on the mothers side then it is "acceptable"
