I still believe Obama is doing the right thing, I still believe it makes sense to try and give power back to the moderate Afghans so that they can run their own country, they need to make it a stable and safe place for themselves. I cannot understand how walking away from this problems helps to solve anything. People die everyday in America from Obesity, hit and run etc people fighting and dieing for humanitarian reasons is something to be proud of!

The ANA is being treated as a platform for "Generals" to set themselves up as warlords. There would have to be a real cultural shift among the government and army top brass to create an effective national force. At least Petraeus and McChrystal aren't sugar coating it.

The US has invested billions into the Karzai government's Police and Army - a great sham and waster of US taxpayer monies not to mention resulting in the loss of lives and limbs of US personnel. We need, too, a Congressional Hearing to sort out all of this information, as soon as possible.

The aim of the war is to continue with the present factory output of arms and ammunition, to maintain a purpose for the US military,with propaganda to ensure that the american public actually want their money spent on a never ending escalation of factory production and use of that production.
