@xMandalorex all my saves n shit are on this drive as you can see when the vid shows system information the size of the drive is there most people's show up as 60 or 80 or 160gb or whatever. sysinfo on your ps3 shows what space you have, not whats plugged in via usb

And I have a problem, my old PS3 broke, so I got a new one, but Im worried that if I put in my old HDD it might format before I can do anything, so I got this thing that you put your HDD into and plug it in via USB, but when I tried it it didnt work. It came with a disc, but I was afraid that if I put that in it would get stuck cos it was a smaller disc. It also said on the box that it was made for Windows, do you think if I got one that would work for Mac aswell it'd work?

I get my 1TB HDDs for about $100 each. If you have a PS3, then money really isn't an issue. (All of my hardware uses 1TB drives. I have three sitting on my desk, two in eSATA docks, one USB. All of them nearly full.)

i took ages to get the cable and i had to assemble the silver hard drive caddy and format the drive so a vid wasent practical it took a while i may post instructions if enough people want it

no a lot faster actually the 60 gb laptop drive has an 8mb cache whereas the 1tb has a 32mb cache so its faster at loading saving etc. if anything it makes it quicker and run a lot cooler
