@BloodWindStudios my 4 month old guinea pig sprained his knee, i think he fell of the ramp, the vet gave him this stuff and after 4 days he was walking on it and he's all better now, but u should go to a vet

Your guinea pig may have had a stroke. I would take him to the vet and rule out any other possible diagnosis but usually a sudden inability to walk, especially in the back legs would indicate a stroke.

I know you had to give up your guinea pigs, but I still have a few questions. Did you buy or adopt them? In Kentucky I couldn't find any shelters or adoptables so I bought mine from a breeder from a flea market. Sadly my guinea pig was sick when I got her and the pigs were living in bad condition so I went to the vet and explained how horrible it was and he would send the Humane Society there. now Ive come to realize she is pregnant, but I will be keeping the baby/ babies. Shes 3ish months old

Awwww this is so cute! I just got my guinea pig yesterday, and i named him Eeyor after Eeyor from Winnie the Pooh. He just got used to my hand today, and loves being petted in between his eyes, like along his nose. Hes white and his a pig spot on his head and a spot over his eye! I love him!

I have two guinea pigs but they haven't quite settled in yet ( even though i have had them for quite a while) and when i go to the cage to let them out they always hide and try to scratch theyre way out of my hand =( and when they are out they just hide in a corner, dont even run around...=(

@godlyjewrab That's normal. Some take longer to settle in than others. What I always did was bribe them with treats. Don't ever corner them or scare them, talk softly with them, make their time with you enjoyable. If they like to hide, maybe create some tunnels so that they can still exercise but still be hidden.

@blazejaganshi Mine will do that as well! They respond best when the pitch/tone of your voice is different for each "code phrase" or name. After a couple of weeks, I got them to respond to "in your food bowl" and they'll run over and find their treats! :)

@apbench I don't have any guinea pigs yet but I'm getting them soon so I've been researching them and usally they find their favorite piss spots and you choose one of those spots and when they piss in another spot you just take the bedding from there and put it in that one spot. Use treats as motivation but don't punish them. I learned this from the animal planet book and you can get those at petsmart.
