  • I'm rather interested in what you do AFTER the colouring. I always have problems with deleting the colous, which is outside the lines. May I ask how do you do that?

  • @Slavanie Im not a pro and i know im not infamousstuff, but this is what Ive seen people do. They finish colouring and they select the zoom button so they can see the colour outside the lines cearly. Now they select the eraser tool and adjust the pixel size so they can accurately erase unwanted colour. Using the brag tool which looks like a hand grabbing thin air, they move around and repeat. i hope i helped :)

  • those color examples are a really great idea. :)

  • hey were you using an Art tablet or the computer mouse??????

  • This is so helpful, thanks for uploading! I'm glad that you did it in real time, and explained what you were doing while you were doing it.

  • Save cleaning up all your bleeding colors afterwards - just select the facial area with your wand, Selection > Modify > expand it a bit and color inside the boundary the selection created. Still, not a bad tutorial for a mouse user ;)

  • I love it , only one thing bugs me : the sound of your mouse clicks xD

  • what does multiply do?

  • @Naru9327 im not infamousstuff, but if you still aren't sure, the multiplyer is another blending/shading tool as shown in the video. I think it blends smoothens and darkens slightly?

  • hmm.. i cannot understand the shadings. i mean how to use or make shadings? did u use opacity n flow 100%? but how come it's so transparent? and can you give me the color codes? thanks.. :) i really need it now, cuz i will use it for my school task!

    PLEASE!

  • @MelPelTa He's using a soft brush with 0 percent hardness. :)

  • i need help! my color is always grey, i cant change it to any other color, if i choose greeen it will be light grey, if i choose black it will be dark grey :( plz helP!

  • @iDogsLove change to bitmap color?

  • @iDogsLove that happens when you load a line art. your mode is at gray. go to Image> Mode > RBG color

  • @priestvanglak ty ty ty ty ty :D <3

  • Not sure if you still check your comments.. but may I ask what brush tool you use? I have tried out every brush and I really want one that will give the same smokey effect you use. :) Thank you~

  • its a good thing I found this tutorial! thank you sooo much!

  • question. where did you get ur swatches?

  • thank you!!! you made me remember how i used to draw...the way i do it right!!

  • epic but ive got a question. my color changes depending on the pressure. pls can someone tell me how i turn it of.pls

  • How do you do you line artwork without covering up the line work with the color? Also, do you have any tips for creating a metallic surface with the gradient tool and not covering up the line artwork in the process?

  • I think the only thing i really like about prodigy's art style is the lips and the nose.

  • god dammit no wonder I didn't set the layer to multiply -.- even with a tablet it looked all..plastic-y

  • U have a really interessting technique to color!^^

But thanks for that, it helped me with my colors and other things. And u just use the normal brush tool?

I have got the problem, that my shadow often is too different from the grounding, so there isn't a good gradient from one color into the other. And I'm not sure how to change that. Tried a lot with the colors and after seeing your tutorial I'll try again! :D

  • cool stuff. Now how did u set up those tone swatches?

  • thanks this heped a little :) I love your drawing style, do you have Deviantart account?

  • @EternalNyappy 1 - this is not my line art, its digital prodigy's, but i do have a deviant art account and some of my own art, but this is just my painting style which constantly changes lol, my DeviantArt is infamousstuff

  • do you use tablet?

  • @CoolrBee Yes and no, yes to draw/paint while iam doing the outlines, and no because if i hand drawn it, or if iam practicing coloring by using other peoples outlines asking them for permission then i just use my mouse

  • good job starting the tutorial with like 6 or 7 layers open to where people cant understand whats going on.

  • how do you insert layers in cs3?

  • @MARI06OO not quite sure i dont use cs3

  • @infamousstuff

When I'm filling in spots I erased, my skin tone gets dark in places I'm accidently re-drawing in? Any ideas? ASnd I use a tablet.

  • @MARI06OO CTRL + N should do the trick ive used cs3 and i think thats wat ive used dont think it changed

  • @ebutuoy91qp yeah i guess :), really just depends on user preference

  • toooo slow buddy:(

  • @canonmanky lol what dou you mean too slow?

  • @canonmanky this ain't speed art its a tutorial

  • Is this CS5??

  • @infamousstuff kay, thanks =)

  • hi when i paint when i go back onmyslef it makes the color darker in that area help please?

  • @lukemc1878 iam assuming you mean when you set ur opac/flow to a low number with a hard brush its light and when you go back over taht color it gets a darker shade?, i used a airbrush, not a hard brush is why it didnt get so dark and was harder to tell but i think thats what your talking about

  • is it a website? or do you download it?

  • how do you record your drawings on the computer?

  • @AzianDominationable Camtasia

  • how do u set 0% hardness on the brush?

  • @heygals ohhh sorry bout the long reply ._. top bar when u have your brush it wil say opac and flow, opac should or relatively is the hardness

  • wow great tutorial^^

  • @MuhMitAusrufezeichen thank you :)

  • @infamousstuff you're welcome^^

  • @DratriaDracona parkour lol and thanks

  • Hi, just a little question about the skintones you use; I saw on the top right corner of your screen many skintones already set up with their own variation of shadows etc, is this something that you can fin by default in photoshop settings (then where?) or you downloaded a specific color thing? (as well, which brush do you use to color the drawing? :D) thanks! xxxx

  • @Romynyan i picked the skin tone by my self using a picture, you can select it using the color boxes at the bottom left and find the corresponding colors and find the shading and the top right lol i never used it but i use it every now and then i got it off deviant art il post the link on how to get it when my elbow heals! and the brush use a airbrush and mess with the opac and the flow or hard brush mes with opac flow and smudge (: hope i helped a lil spelling mistakes cus i got one hand typing

  • @infamousstuff Thank you so much for your quick answer! I'll cross fingers for your elbow to heal! Keep me in touch for the link :D! xxxx

  • @Romynyan hah therer not that quick but its quick enough i guess and ill get it when i can lol and your welcome :)

  • woah i lovee this!! i am still puzzled on the shadings.

  • @justxboredx3 Thanks, and if you could spread it around, and if you want i could go in a deep demo on how to do the shading? if you would like, but right now i am also experimenting around on what type of shading techniques i should use etc but thanks :)

  • @infamousstuff yeah can you go deep on the shading? and i'll try to spread it around!

  • @justxboredx3 yeah ill do that, and thanks, but know that i might not have lot of time, but when i do have time i ll will do my best in doing a deep shading tutorial and try my best to go deep into it lol :)

  • whenever i color hair or anything else, ill put like a few streaks, then when i go over those streaks, it gets darker Dx anyway to fix this?

  • @PaulinaH727 well depends on what your settings is, if you want i can do a hair tutorial iam not sure if i covered that in that tutorial, but what u want to do is get a color you want ands et ur opac and flow to 100% cover ur region, then after this take a diffrent color and fiddle around with ur flow and opac, go over to make a kinda like highlight tish tone thing

  • @infamousstuff it works ^^~ thank you :3 a hair tutorial would be nice tho o: since im still not sure how people color hair in photoshop... D: im new to photoshop so xD

  • @ANightfallenStar The line art is by prodigy bombay, i can draw just idk how to scan in 300 dpi, and the thing took roughly 5-6minutes, first time i took 30m-1hr because i had to fine the skin tones and thank you :D

  • @ANightfallenStar hell this thing took like 1hr, i was reading a tutorial and getting the skin samples and stuff that took 30minutes, so then i painted the face, and thank you for saying iam gifted, everyone tbh is gifted just wether or not they actually use there gifts
