Talking about doing something right -- what you are saying is that sometimes you have to adjust your cornering techniques to compensate for the driving conditions.. eg. Tiawan vs. normal driving venues :) and you are doing a great service with your vlogging. I really enjoy watching -- THANKS!
5 star props for differentuating between a public road and a racetrack M13. On the open road, the fastest line is the safest line because you're more likely to actually finish.
If you can't use all of one lane, what makes riders think they can use both?
When a bike is moving in a straight direction it stays upright yeh?
So when you turn, you need to lean to counter act the bikes natural force to want to stay upright.
The faster you are traveling the MORE the bike wants to stay upright, thus logically, if you want to turn, the more you will need to lean (depending on how tight the turn is obviously).
I don't ride but I do understand how things work.. I think..
to get your knee down do you need to be going fast enough? my bike only does about 55mph and i still haven't managed to get my knee down, but i dont know if it's because that's too slow for it or i'm just too chicken to lean further or stick my knee out more.
I cut in on blind corners and don't start from the left side of the lane. If I know there is gravel on a corner, I will still cut in, but I will always take it very easy.
I try to ride on the side of my lane that makes me most visible to traffic or to people exiting a driveway and most of the road. If it's a hilly & curvy road where I can't see the road itself, I use the power lines to see where the road is going.
Riding everywhere as if it's a race track isn't the best idea on the road.
Idd be carefull with that. You just decrease your margins to the point there nonexistent. And in real traffic (ppl making mistakes and all) You need margins.
M is right ideal lines are for Ideal situations. (the track)
I too always try to keep my head in my own lane. That does mean you have to take corners at a lower speed. Less space and all. But I won't have any close encounters of the "headlight of an oncomming van" kind. On a track everyone goes the same way and even there an ideal line isn't always possible.
M13:" This isn't a race track"
Nope it's a Taiwanese street with Taiwanese drivers... See other vids...
You're so right M. I would, with that little visibility around a corner, probably do the same
You might mention that SVEN sent you that nice present. (Well maybe not now, it would be ruined by now im sure. But this might be an old video. Either way...)
here's a suggestion for you M13, make a vid showing us your POV camera setup. I'm curious to see what kind of equipment you use and where its mounted etc. The sound on your vlogs is heaps better than other vloggers too. Always entertaining to watch your vids!
I dont always use the out-apex-out line. Ive learned that a good line is defined by how smooth you are on the throttle. If you go through the turn where you didnt have to adjust the throttle, then thats a good line. And ur right M, the street isnt a race track so ur lines are dictated by the variables infront of you. another great video!
I dunno about your country but here in Norway we are allowed to ride mopeds (50cc) at the age of 16. which is great, more practice before getting a motorcycle. I say start as early as possible ^^
You forgot to mention the 45kmh limit built into 50cc bikes and scooters in Norway. The only training the kids get from it, is that our law system is broken when the vast majority of parents and kids illegally remove this dangerous limiter, in order to ride safer and not being run over by overtaking traffic on our tiny 2 lane roads.
Well I am 16 and I've got a moped, it goes slightly faster than 45 i'll admit that, but I haven't had any problems yet, other than cars almost ramming me from behind :P
use a SHAMWOW to get the water off, you'll get AMAZING results hehe...ahhh that was a bad joke...

Should i start off with a scooter or get a bike right away? Is there a Hugeass diff or not? Cause i dont want to Buy a scooter then have to buy a bike right away
Start with a bike. Only reason to get a scooter is for the extra carrying space and the convenience of no gears. But in many ways they are less safe than a bike.
if m13 is going to make a music video using his music created by him or his friends in the past videos, he needs to include some of his new dance move and his son dancing in it, it would be awsome
I don't really care as to what Mordeth13 looks like, I care more for the entertaining (and educational ones, such as this one) videos he makes. That's why I subscribed to him in the first place :D

Hmmmm stripper. Wonder when you are going to get your neighbor on film again. lol Even in the U.S. we have those fucking idiots that want to take their half of road in the center. And not always on a turn.
because I assumed you get hundreds of messages on youtube and you do go through all of them. anyway, let me know what you think, on youtube or on the forum, either way works for me.
this video should be called "windshield cleaning tutorial" haha idk why but i laughed at it a lot
