Zapdos must be hatched on order to see the Pinsir shadow. Lure a Pikachu close to the egg with the apples, then play the Poke Flute. Pikachu will release an electric attack, Zapdos will hatch, and Zapdos will charge the Tunnel with electricity, and the Pinsir shadow appears.

By the way, the Pokemon games are still pretty big, even with all the new ones being added. I think the new features and increased plot epicness makes the games better than the originals.

Also, they probably didn't include all 151 original Pokemon in this game because they didn't have enough memory in the cartridge... Or it just wasn't feasible to have enough environments for them all.

I enjoy this game but the last time I got stuck early on. I like this type of game where you don't have to kill anything to advance to a new level. It's unique to say the least lol. There are picture taking games for more recent consoles like one for the Wii where you take pictures of a Safari. Again good if you are nervous about your child playing violent video games and your child can learn a thing or two about animals.
