Aman, you got interesting points. They actually concur with anthropology. Anthropologically spoken, the concept of marriage (monogamy) came into place at at time when human beings had an average lifespan of 30 years. Now, if you get married with the prospect of staying maybe 15 years together it's different from the prospect of 60+ years. BUT don't be a male chauvinist pig here. Don't forget that the gender behavior of the woman is just as much a cultural construct as monogamy. ;)

I think what you're saying is a bit abbreviated, however it's a good way for women to understand men and why men cheat, or what they need. For example, a woman who has been sexually harassed may not respect herself because of what's happened to her. Just because something is naturally done, doesn't make it ethical. Women, in general, don't often associate relationships with as much physical importance than emotional compatibility. It's late for me but I had to hear what you have to say, Listening to you talk about '4 types of women' was suppose to put me to sleep, thinking you were gonna say 'wife, daughter, mother and sister' instead you totally caught me off gaurd and now I'm wide awake after 10 mins of listening to what sounds like... the truth!

I think my model is more descriptive in nature and not prescriptive for how men should act b/c my views on what people SHOULD do are almost as radical as simply my thoughts of what I think IS =P (if that makes sense) I think guys would have categories, but I'd have to ask females to figure out what they are! LOL

Hi Aman! Interesting perspective. But here's my one question. If a man has a wife and also a mistress, doesn't that contradict the whole concept of a 'wife' to begin with? If a wife is someone who you have a personal connection with, and you 'love' her, then is it possible for a man to be in 'love' and have a mistress. Love as shakespeare said is something 'which does not alterate'. Therefore it lasts and it becomes permanent, but if you claim to 'love' your wife and have a mistress doesn't it

I always new I liked different women differently, but I never could put my finger on it. I completely agree with you on this one.
