The video looked easy, so i tried it. Everything was going smooth until it came time to put the carnitas in the oven. I put the tempature at 375* on Bake. Cooked the carnitas for 60 mins!! Way to long, should cooked half of that time. I WISH THAT LADY WOULD OF SUGGESTED WHAT OVEN TEMPATURE TO USE. Thanks lady,,,thanks! Next time i'll go with my gutt feeling...
This was really good, next time I will skip the oven part, it dried the meat out too much. Before putting it in the oven the meat had a really good flavor and was very moist. I also saved the broth and made some really tasty rice with it.
I save my broth and freeze it for later use...most of the time I use it in place of the water for cooking rice. I also use it for my stuffing I make with my stale home made bread. I agree with you, never throw out broth!
This recipe looks very tasty! I will have to try it.
thank you so much for this, i know this isnt the traditional way of cooking carnitas, but i made them and wow wow wow wow, thanx for taking the time in posting this today, my family enjoyed it, i made the 4.5lbs of it...
This turned out really well. Thanks for putting up the recipe. I strained the broth and reduced in by half and then covered the meat halfway in the pan before roasting it in the oven for like 10 min. Take it out shred it and it soaks up all that good juice. Awesome!
i will try this in the crokpot

La mejores carnitas del mundo se comen en el Mercado de Zinapecuaro Michoacan Mexico. Si tienen oportunidad de ir, haganlo. No se arrepentiran .

Looks good. Any chance you could tell us your recipe? Was that cumin and chicken stock you put in?
