The Marine should have intervened in that shoplifting. Let the POlice and Best Buy handle the situation. Their isnurance is not going to pay for the ambulance or hospital stay. I would have liked to have seen some lawful citizen pull out a handgun and vaporize that piece of trash in the parking lot.
People know what to expect on Black Friday, and thus I don't really think much of the chaos. If people don't want to take a risk then they ought to just simply shop online. Black Friday is analogous to the Running of the Bulls (except that Black Friday is far less exciting :p). It's potentially dangerous, but if enough people want to go take the risk, then whatever. At least they know what they are getting in to. The same goes for Black Friday.
This is not just an American trend. For years my wife and I travelled to London, ON in Canada to do out shopping over a 3-day weekend just after Thanksgiving. Each year the Canadians we ran into became more and more like we Americans - pushing, shoving, belligerent and rude. When we first started going - they were kind and considerate. By the time we stopped going, they'd equalled Americans in lack of morals from 4 years previous. Our hatred & lust is spreading!
I wouldn't shop on black Friday if they offered me free stuff. These people are acting like a bunch of pigs going to slop. My dignity is worth more than any money I can save on items I don't even need. They should change the wording on the advertising from doorbuster specials to headbuster specials. CUCKOO! CUCKOO! This is why I shop during the "after christmas" days. It's how I got my HDTV and many other things without having to worry about a bunch of fucking dumb animals killing people over a goddamn item.
They're giving THANKS to the great deals they'll receive and if someone gets in the way of them giving THANKS or gets seriously injured or is threatened by one of these THANKFUL shoppers, they should be THANKING from behind bars.
