  • this was actually... very helpful (not sarcasm)

  • if you plug the headphones, will you be the only one hearing the sound? i mean, the guitar wont produce any kind of sound but the one in the headphones

  • is that a 1/8(3.5mm) output for head phones or 1/8

  • @matt9632111 Yup it's standard 1/8 for headphones, like an ipod. Also has a line in as well (same size) if you wanted to plug your ipod (or whatever) into it to play along with.

  • That wouldn't fit into a Strat.

  • @CrankCase08 Actually it does... though it's awkward. If you look at how the plug is kinda extended on that black piece of plastic, that's what makes it possible. It just ends up sticking out weirdly from what I remember (sold my strat a few months ago).

  • @zoesstyle For a mini plugin amp for practise, look for the 'Ampuplugnplay'. There's a good Youtube demo of it.

  • I have one of these and my problem with it is that I can't find headphones that can handle the bass that this thing puts out.. Anyone have headphones that have worked for them?

  • @zoesstyle Need headphones. There's no speaker.

  • can i plug into a POD X3 Live with this?

  • @thedonace213 You'd need an adaptor to go from the 1/8inch headphone out to 1/4inch guitar cable size. But it could be done. Not sure how it'd sound though.

  • Can you plug into an amp from this? Or only a speaker / headphones?

  • no you can plug into an amp

  • Thanks, do I need some kind of adaptor?

  • no you can plug it into an amp then a chord into the adaptor, look it up on youtube there is a guy who did it and the tone is amazing on it.

  • Thanks, do you know the link?

  • no sorry man but i will find the vid name for you

  • @EuropeFactor

you can can plug into an amp, but you need a converter

  • How much was it??? I want to get one soon

  • $50 on amircanmusic(dot)com

  • it takes 2 AA's and it lasts for like 15 hours

  • What type of batteries does it take, and how long does it last roughly? Thanks :)

  • 2 AAA batteries. Around 15 hours of life if you use Alkaline.

  • do you have to use it with headphones, or does it have a mini speaker?

  • your voice gives me zzz's

  • LOL... Not sure if that's good or bad. I was trying to be kinda quiet for this one. My wife was in the next room over trying to sleep.

  • lol it's a good thing i guess...lol.

  • i have the same one its awesome and i love the tone and sound im about to get the metal one

  • Thanks for putting this up man

  • Is it true that amPlug can produce sound without headphones?

  • just a question..

    does it require batteries

  • yes duh, it's a preamp retard

  • how do u connect the ipod with this thing?? do i need some kind of cable??

  • Yeah you'd need a cable. It's got a jack on it exactly like an iPod has.

  • Thanks for this video, really there isn't side views of that. I thought it wouldn't fit a strat's jack.

  • It does... abit weird, but it does work.

  • How does it sound? Would you recommend?

  • can you use it with no headphones

  • yea. it can produce very nice sound without headphones

  • hey adjust the focus of the camera, as raphexe says there is a macro mode option, your video is too muddy.

  • can u also connect the amplug to a 2.0 speaker set?

  • does it still make sound with out headphones or plugged into an amp??

  • dood. does the thing play loud?

  • how do you think this would sound on a bass?

  • they make a special one for bass guitar

  • nice

  • thats pretty awesome. but i have a question. is there a way to make it go through a regular amp so i can change my tone?

  • what kind of headphones it use?? regular mp3 player ones?? or the 1/4inch plug type??

  • It takes 1/8in. jacks... same as an mp3 player.

  • i might just get one!!haha

  • that thing it self produces sound?

  • Yes, it's a headphone amp. Guitar->Amplug->headphones

  • NO IT DOESN'T

  • IT does

  • so you mean to say this has a built-in speaker?

  • I play through a line six spider 3 amp, and have a good guitar and yet it still doesn't sound too great because I'm playing with headphones. Will this be any better? Can you get a nice sound with it?

  • If you're into the Vox sound, yes it's great thru headphones

  • Can you play guitar with clean and distorted sound?

  • Basically yes, it has both a volume and a gain knob, with the gain down it's relatively clean but will depend slightly on your pickups

  • macro mode dude ! put your video camera to macro mode.

  • so how exactly does it work?...

you plug it in your guitar?..im not really sure, but im thinking of buy one..for when i go to trips..either this or a little mini amp

  • Plugs straight into your guitar, has a headphone out. Controls are for gain, tone, and volume. And there's also a line in (for MP3 players or whatever).

  • so u can plug in and MP3 player in it and it comes out of the headphones from the amplug..along with the guitar?

  • Haven't tried it, but I think that's how it's supposed to work. I guess the idea is that it's there to help you play along with the track.

  • so how exactly does it work?...

you plug it in your guitar?..im not really sure, but im thinking of buy one..for when i go to trips..either this or a little mini amp

  • Ive got one whith the sound of classic rock

  • how much is it

  • I believe $39 thru Sweetwater. I got mine for Christmas, so I'm not totally sure.

  • cool new toy mang,

    next vid lets here it

  • If you click my name I do have a vid called "Vox AC30 Amplug thru amp" where I put it in a switchable true bypass loop in my regular pedal chain into my Pro Reverb. Then compare to a SD-1 and Mad Effects DD30
