  • can you do a vid on coloring manga hair with pencil crayongs

  • She's so the female Mark Crilley!!!

  • Isn't it easier to build on flat land though? Jk. I know what you are trying to say.

  • @zkittyz what colors did you use for the hair?

  • @Kkkitty504 I don't know. I don't read the colour names when I grab the pencils.

  • Check out my art video! its not really a tut. Just kinda shows off my skill!

90% reference drawings mind you. Mostly Lucky*Star. Id really love some feedback on how to get better please? ^^

    thanks!

  • I normaly use Crayola (not sure if they sell them in Canada) but I seem to notice that they have like a waxy texture so is their any pencil crayons that have like a smooth texture?

  • @nana4life1000 I think was is what pencil crayons are normally made of. I don't know of any that aren't waxy (other than watercolour pencils) but I'm sure there's something that exists. If you don't like wax, I would suggest using a different medium.

  • @zkittyz I'm SOOOOO excited. I researched the Prismacolors a little more, an dthey have a Manga Set!! It has like skin tones and its just really cool. Anyways great tutorial. =D

  • Great Videos im a guy and a amazing artist ike you im going to upload a couple videos and i hope you like them if you check them out btw Awsome vid!!!

  • @VEARKING My supplies are listed on my channel.

  • @zkittyz thank you very much!

  • where do u learn ur drawings from and at what age? BTW ur drawings are great!

  • @ILuvAnime1028 even tho the question wasent directed to me but some artist are born with the skill and some learn on there own and you can start drawing any age

  • @VEARKING oh thx :)

  • @ILuvAnime1028 welcome check out my other channel to called mangadesighs its a comment on here

  • you should learn how to Speed Lap which makes its fast for you so the Tutorial fast instead of rushing.

  • @ljis2go I do know how to time lapse, but I don't want to do that with all my videos because most people like to see it in real time.

  • your stuff is awesome! i'm so sorry i don't live in your city and buy things from Michael's or whatever is shop calling! :(

  • hi im your biggest fan from deviantART teiro-nell and I love all of your vid's well you are suported by me and just keep doing what your doing and youll get better and better!

  • @ppkittyz Thanks!

  • looks great thanks for the tutorial

  • It looks like tenten!

  • michaels the wonderful art store :D

  • Ive done all my drawings regular colour pencils and im really good at it now. Ive also learned to blend the colours without using that gey-like pencil. I find this video decent only because the drawing was microscopic.

  • Prisma Color colored pencils are EXPENSIVE

    ...But worth it. :D

  • Can you do a video about shading with hair cause I want to learn how to do that

  • you should do more tutorials using colored pencils, you're really good!

  • Very helpful! Thanks!

  • @Kimchan1011 Pencil crayons and colored pencils are the exact same thing, but where I grew up, they were called pencil crayons.

  • I often find colouring destroys a perfectly good manga lineart but you did a pretty good job here, i'm impressed. I just bought a set of Derwent Coloursoft 36 pencils but i'm allways too scared to use them because I dont want to destroy the lineart I spent so long on >.<

  • @Ayasam127 There's always the option of photocopying the lineart so that the original stays untouched.

  • Wow, I must get a colorless blender. It's been too long that I have stopped coloring my artwork because of the rough-ish texture of pencil crayons. I am now subscribed. :D

  • this looks amazing! and you're canadian huh? me too, and yeah pencil crayons could be a canadian thing. i say it too xD but anyways, awesome! :D

  • what if you bought prisma pencil but there was no colorless blenders.is there another way to blend it

  • @Animelover123410 There are also the marker version of colorless blenders, ordorless mineral spirits and/or Isopropyl alcohol or any equivalent to those. Use cotton swabs, paper stumps or paper towels or an old rag or t-shirt remnant.

  • YAY! I'm going through all of your videos involving pencil crayons because my mom surprised me with PrismaColors for Christmas! :3

  • Where can you get thos pencil crayons?

  • @Strangemanga Pretty much any art store.

  • how can them 12 people not like your video it cool and your awsome zkittyz

  • nice :D

  • nice ^.^ like

  • @zkittyz what kind of eraser?

  • i wan even lighter skin tones =x

  • @Kkyouzanoha Then use lighter colours. The same technique applies.

  • my girl looks so tanned!!!

  • Rideback...

  • When I do this kind of shading I use a White pastel to blend with

  • where do u buy your copics?

  • @RubberDucky7127 it wouldnt work so well. Crayola twistibles are just normal crayons (dye and wax) but in a tube. Better colored pencils are pure pigment with wax and clay to make it smooth

  • your voice calm me, i really relax during the tutorial, and I have to try this, maybe i have start to draw anime...

  • cute

  • whoooooot, canadian :P

  • Do u sale ur drawing?

  • That what I need to no more is coloer.

  • i'm from brazil ...thought it was beautiful (eu achei lindo!! amei )

  • @animelovergirl28 I'm going to make one after I upload all the tutorials I already filmed. :)

  • @zkittyz ok ty cause there is none :(

  • OMG! I did this, and it turned out amazing! hello new profile pic!

  • But Prismacolor is a fancy pencil color O ^ O If it wasnt fancy it wouldnt cause a thousand or two in my country D: ....

  • can you make a video, with how to draw male manga body?

  • its so good :)

  • wow u r really talented! i am drawing a picture for a friend and i really want to impress her! this tutorial helped a lot!

  • @RubberDucky7127 It should work okay as long as you are talking about pencils and not wax crayons haha. You might have troubles with only 12 colours though.

  • wouldn't be spelled colored ????? o.O

  • @ppgope Leaving out the "u" is the american way to spell it. I'm not american.

  • @zkittyz i know , your canadian i just didn't know it would be spelled differently in canada ^^ btw (great job on the colouring* :)

  • @ppgope Hahaha thanks :)

  • @ppgope *cough* 2 year old *cough*

  • @X619mysterio try twelve ........ sorry for not knowing ........ >.< AND IM NOT CANADIAN!!SORRY!!!!

  • Wow nice work :) !

  • Subscribed! Awesome stuff!

  • Thank you zkittyz ! I have been drawing for some time now, but coloring was always hard for me because I couldn't afort Copic markers which I needed. Thanks for showing me that I can get a fantastic outcome, using Pencil Crayons (I call them that way too XD) I can't find a colorless blender but I think a white pencil will work out too. THANK YOU faved !

  • i think the white dots could be avoided if u used different paper,,,maybe one with less texture...but im no paper expert xD.. :P

  • @shreddedbeats That would mean the paper has no tooth. You need tooth in order to layer the colours.

  • XD i have prismacolor pencil crayons too! i call them that too.... And im american XD

  • @kyzelf1 Yay!!!

  • @zkittyz to make pictures i colour with pencils better Iuse water based pens to make it look smoother. it gives a good result :3. nice vid

  • wow thnx a lot for the tips! my whole life i've always had problems with coloring and that's the main reason why i don't like coloring my drawings plus, the white little spaces or white dots always make it look rubbish but the blender will just solve the problem :)

btw if i just use one color for the whole face, will it look fine if i shade with that same color? i just want some opinions of a experienced person

Anyways thanks for the video :D looking forward to the your other videos too :]

  • @Angela020202 No, using the same colour to shade is a bad idea!

  • What's the difference between regular pencil crayons like Crayola, for example, and the Prismacolor pencils?

  • Q: where do u get the colorless blenders can u buy it in australia?

  • @zkittyz Q: will the colourless blender work with normal pencil crayons? like the ones we use for school?

  • @zkittyz will the colorless blender work with other colors besides prisma colors?

  • yay it's the first time i've ever been top comment i'm so happy!!!!

  • Wowwwwww... who knew you could do that with colored pencils?!?!

I hadn't really heard the "pencil crayon" thing before. Here in America, everyone says "colored pencils"!!! I think I actually like pencil crayons better though XD

  • I just use orange xD

  • thank you for finally putting the color pencils cuz id color my manga face with yellow and orange thank you soooooo much next time do somke eyes how to draw eyes and color them with color pencils thank you so much

  • Lol I love Canada with our "colour" and our "favourite" and the way we say "pencil crayons." Btw, love this tutorial :)

  • Can You Do A Colored Pencil tutorial, because what colors go well together?

  • I know you love your copics Kitty but I think this looks so much better. Just my preference. Great tut. Thanks.

  • My prismas do nottttt erase that easily o.O I also press kina hardish when colouring...maybe thats why ^^;;

    please do more tutorials!!

  • Where can you buy a "colourless blender"?

I've never even heard of that before :P

  • Before the colorless blender:

    My face: meh.

    After

My face: O_O magic colored penci- no. From now on I shall say pencil crayon!

  • Anybody know how much a colorless blender costs?

  • @halomaniac15 It varies from store to store, but it usually comes in sets of two for around 5 dollars.

  • If I use the white pencil as a blender and it lightens up could I go over it to make it darker? Or would the white dots still be there?

  • er... nvm... I think I understand now... don't press hard if you plan on laying down lots of colours?

  • I've never heard of that tip of not pressing too hard when using pencil crayons. I'd like to try it >D

But you pressed hard anyways when you used the colourless blender?

  • @pagtitiyaga At that point it is ok to press hard because you are blending al the colors and pushing the color into the valleys. That's why once you do this step you really can't add anything else. It has to be your final step.

  • we call them leds in newfoundland, so pencil crayons is not that weird.

  • Great tutorial! I love the characters eyes

  • do you think you could do more coloured pencil tutorials? :3

  • omg! in science we r gonna watch a video about spirited way! COOL! XD

  • Heheh... "pencil crayons"...

  • Two things one will that colorless blender work with all color pencils and thx I really needed this I just use to colar my skin one color and the use a black for shadin

  • The experssion was cute :3 . Now I wanna go get the blender :B

  • Do you photocopy the same picture? Cause you used the same picture in an earlier tutorial.

  • @lookingatthepieces I didn't photocopy it, I just coloured directly on the picture from the multiliner tutorial.

  • @zkittyz Well that's a clever way to save some time. :D

  • ... i wanted to get that set , but since my mom is so CHEAP , i had to just get the 48 ... and i had experience withcolored pencils...

  • nice! :D

  • i dont know if your already done a video like this but if you dont can you make a tourtial on hair shine because i dont know how to and im trying to learn.also this tourtial was very helpfull

  • thank you that was a great tutorial. I learned something new. I want to get the colorless blender now.

  • @animehammy101 brown is gud too 8D

  • @SapphireSparksz I think its just personal preference so I like to use red~ But I use brown too depending on the lighting xD

  • YAYYY COZ IM STUCK WITH COLORED PENCILS FOREVER.... wait.... im stuck with crayola colored pencils......... -sobsob-

  • @SapphireSparksz It's not the tools that make the artist great. It's the artist. But I would recommend buying from online. You can find great deals.

  • OMG this is so awesome XD

thnxs for the tips ^u^~~ it really helped a lot, I guess I'll see if a got a replacement for the white pencil colour~~ but the picture looked great >u<, I couldn't believe how good a picture would look in pencil colours :)

    I <3 it

and I'll probably consider the paper, I once painted it on rough paper and i failed lol

  • I used gel pens to color a pitcher once

  • wow... you just put my 12 set to shame lol

i was like OMG I HAVE PRISMACOLORS and you come along and shame me... lol

  • oh thats what that thing does

  • :( worst timing ever >< why isnt this uploaded last week then i would have known the correct way of coloring my skin for my pre-national exam art :( but its ok :D i can practice for my national exam!

  • i call them colored pencils

  • I use prisma's and i usually use my white to add highlights and brighten the hair.

  • GO! CANADA! haahaah

  • PENCIL CRAYONS FTW! It's also a British thing! Seems you guys over the pond aren't too different :P

How much do prismacolours cost? I know they're kinda expensive but I can't remember by how much haha!

Also I have rose cheeks >W<! FTW! Haha.

Oh and that colourless blender is AMAZING O_O

  • @MangakaThauib WOOO! I don't know how much they cost. I got the 120 set as a Christmas present from my dad, and I didn't even check the price of the colourless blender when I bought it. O_O

  • @zkittyz Still they cost a lot of money o.o; I use regular very BAD colours and they don't work well.. at all >.>

  • @MangakaThauib They are really expensive! for a pack of 120-$189.00. for a pack of 48-$75.99 and im guessing that the colorless blender was around...maybe two or three dollars

  • @Lisaand11 Crazy money =______=;;; Thank you very much!

  • @MangakaThauib where i live for a 120 set of Prisma Color pencil crayons it'll set you back about $100 Canadian.

  • @MangakaThauib UWHAA!! but over here (in england) we call them colouring pencils lol >.<

  • @aaazafina We do?! ... I don't know anymore >W<!!!

  • @MangakaThauib O.O HOW COULD U FORGET LOL???

  • @aaazafina I feel so lost to my british side Q~Q

  • @MangakaThauib LOL -.-'' im not even a full brit >.<

  • @aaazafina I was born here so I guess that counts right?

  • @MangakaThauib Lol COMPLETELY! ^^ And quite rarely have I seen another brit whose in anime ..SUPER HAPPY

  • @aaazafina XD *high fives*

  • I think it is just a canadian thing, i call them pencil crayons too XD

I have a tendency not to color my pics cause i think they look weird but ill try cause of this ^_^

    Thanks fir the tutorial

  • The brown (I think you said chestnut?) would be good for colouring a local colour for African-American skin :) Darker skins have a slight blue undertone, whereas caucasian's tend to give off a red/pink colour, because lighter skin means we can see the colour of the blood more clearly. But that would also depend on what colour lighting you have and such.

  • (: Nice

  • my skin is like multi-colored cuz of sun n it looks weird :\

  • HA the colorless blender lives up to its name on the prismacolor sets xD

  • lol y did u draw the character like tht? (:o)

  • YES! a new Video!!
