@SicSemperTyrannisx9 The plan is that if we loose power we need to run the fridge and freezers until we consume them totally. The 2kw will do this no prob with 110 gallons of diesel fuel... we are half way there. 1 more 55 gallon barrel. This will take us over 2 months at 5 hrs a day with plenty of power left over for other things. Our older gas gen is a multiquip 6000, it is a little over kill now that we have been setting up our solar battery bank. Redundancy.
@starvingtech I picked this one up at an Estate Auction for around $600.. I've looked for them online.. (good luck with that one) and found that the Gov is paying around $6000.00+ Go figure... Thanks for the comment

@lpdavisakgto Deisel seems the way to go for the generator thing. Plus the fuel will store for many many years.
