  • Best video I've watched today. Short but very creative. Thanks for this awesome video.

  • This has to be one of the best short films I've seen on youtube, very emotional, powerful. I was taken in from beginning till end. Keep up the good work!

  • looks good

  • thats pretty incredible, great colours and fantastic idea.

  • very nice.

  • Thanks everyone for all your kind comments.

  • very good.

  • sick video ! great visuals ! magic bullet is pretty awesome . need to get my hands on it .. check out my new short called "The leap of Faith" if ya have the chance.

  • i thought you were using a professional camera just like Sony Nex Fs100 or something like that. Is this software (magic bullet) better than Adobe premiere CS5?

  • @MaximoBrazil2000 adobe premiere is a video editing program. Magic bullet is a color correct plug in. no shit lol

  • very good

  • great work! you got me.

  • maybe overdid the slowmo a bit? id say

  • Que bello es el corazon humano. <3

  • @vivianachdz , que paleto monolingüe puedes ser escribir en español cuando todos aquí escriben en ingles.

  • @TheAMGproduction Paleto? Perdon, pero que eso?? ... x)

  • epic

  • very cool man

  • woa

  • great video....I have the same camera.....looking to buy a good microphone

  • I was rived to this clip. I found it very emotional . The music really sets it off. You guys have a talent.

  • @gedebage Thank You Very Much

  • Really nice what's the budget for creating this?

  • @laksipar Hi & thanks for your comment.

The budget was £0 excluding time & effort :-)

  • @mixthemix But your panasonic cost 900 dollar + Blue magic 700 dollar so it is really high budget. I want to create the same things but the stuff cost really much.

  • i love d color grading...what camera? and i lov d track uv used

  • @gravityforbidden It's all in the imfor below the film.

  • i love d color grading...what camera?

  • Extreamly well made! Just can't understand that you guys don't have more views. You really deserve all views you can get!

  • @jimutt Thanks

  • sweeet

  • Wow, powerful man. I loved the twist at the end. I didn't see it coming. A nice reminder to never trust a book by its cover. Thanks for the post. Subbed.

  • i really enjoyed the ending. it was a clever twist. thank you for the artistic inspiration. :)

  • @woozletooz Thanks :-)

  • Beautifully done. I look forward to more of your work!

  • @magicronn Many Thanks

  • I wasn't expecting that ending. Good stuff

  • how did you get the video looking like that? different lense or stock. man this is great.

  • @TheShootTruth10 Just a bit of colour grading in post.

  • that was really good directing

  • @NOTYM4HATERZTV - Many Thanks `:-)

  • I want to like it, but I can't because it's just a 60 second scene, that would of been good on a different type of short film, expanded into 6 minutes filled with dramatic music. Other than that the cinematography is good, nice job.

  • Great camera ain't it.

  • emmm i guess what are you trying to say is that people are not that nice as they seem and not that bad as they seem

  • I thought this was really well done, congrats! :-)

  • Did you use any grain filter in editing? I have an sd700 and the footage in low light is kinda grainy! This video seems to have none.

  • the color tone is way over used and makes your video amateurish

  • @mastergradeone your review was incomplete and came across quite negitive...when I dont think this is a professional and he did a great job with a consumer came... Hater...lol you must not get much love with your own projects

  • Very nice short film! Loved the editing and grading. I noticed that the second song is from one of Video-copilot's sound packs? I used the exact same track in one of my works. :)

  • looks :-)

  • What kind of MB did you use? Editors, Looks, Mojo, Colorista?

    Wonderful film!

  • Beautiful ;)

  • I hate that music...its so annoying.

  • What film's that music from?? It's bugging me. I bet as soon as I post this, it comes to me.

  • @charliechutney Strange how the brain works. Within 3 secs it came to me -- "The Mist", right at the end.

  • @charliechutney "The Mist" The Ending :-(

  • @mixthemix awesome film

  • I love the mist.

  • Good stuff, bro. Some good shooting and editing right there. Whoever said you need Red One to make something look good is full of dookie. Vids like this give other aspiring filmmakers hope :-) Good job.

  • @BrownEyeOfTheTiger many thanks :-)

  • Heyy..this is great!! Love the cinematography... Did you use any add-on lens /adapter for ur cam or was it shot with the panny as it is?

  • @y2kraviraj No just as it came out of the box ... used manual settings though

  • @mixthemix Nice... loved the music too... keep it up, guys like you keep guys like us inspired...

  • @y2kraviraj Thank You :-)

  • Very nice, keep it up! Gotta get that camera!

  • Perfect :)

  • @ThomaSHDProd thanks :-)

  • Was looking for video quality of the sd700 when I stumbled upon this magic! Well done my friend, great all around job. Will be picking up this camera for definite now.

  • Bravo!

    mad skillz on display.

  • @misunderstoodblood..the prefix of 700 represent different version. It is the suffix that tells the country code. TM700k is US version. I'll wait until the new year to get this because I just pick up a Canon 60D 1 week ago.

  • I'm quite set on purchasing this camcorder... anything i should know about?

  • @misunderstoodblood some did have problem with fan noise issue and maybe an external mic will help. Other than that, I'm sold also.

  • The film looks great and is awesome. I messed around a bit in Vegas HD 10 and found the main concept 720 setting worked pretty well too.

  • Way to go dude, that was epic! Are you still using Vegas, why did you render to .wmv? I love my TM700. I am going to check out your other stuff!

  • @elproximus Thanks, I just find wmv has a nice balance of quality & filesize.

  • @mixthemix Do the black borders acutally make it widescreen or do you just add them for looks? And if so how can i do it?

  • Comment removed

  • @VFXMediaHD and @mixthemix i actually had a similar question. Did you shoot in 16:9 and just cropped the picture to get a wider aspect afterwards? Or did you use a lens or something else during the shoot? Thnx! Keep up the good work!

  • Great work !!! Im about to purchase a HS700K, would you advice this now that you have worked with one. Also so many people seem to have problems with software , editing and burning their movies to DVD made on the HS700--did you experience any problems?

Your reply & any advice would be greatly appreciated as i am about to purchase one of these cameras and i dont want headaches, i just want to film my short films..thanx.

  • I'll be getting the TM700 (US model), awesome job on the short film.

  • @EVOKIN ..is the tm700 the us model of the...sd700?

  • just bought one of these cameras, what do you think of it? looks like image quality is unreal!

  • Loved it, really well done!

I have thís fantastic video camera!

  • And so boys and girls, The moral of the video is that even if you sell cellphones in random tunnels like they're drugs, it doesn't mean that if you see a little old lady who just got beat up, you can still help her and her bag into the bright light!

Awesome video! Pretty crazy what a little hand-held camcorder can do isn't it?

  • Awesome Awesome !!! Welldone.... I have this camera hdc-tm700 and I WAS THINKING TO RETURN IT. wiLL KEEP IT NOW. Can you please share tutorial for this video !!! U Rock man,,,

  • thats pretty awesome man. Well done. Inspiration to me :)

  • @kaleedeo Thank You :-)

  • How many of us thought he was going for the bag?.........I did for one...LOL.

Excellent Short Clip, Great Music Great storyLine. Heck I even thought that he was going to get caught holding the bag and get blamed for it, But I like this ending better.

    Great Job!!

  • @screeech1 Many Thanks

  • Very well executed. Love the way you played on my stereotypes.

Superb choice of audio to augment the experience and pace. The music is "Host of Seraphim" from Dead Can Dance I think.

You brought an inspiring end to my day. Thanks and look forward to more.

  • Take up videography and get to spend the day in an underpass ! Wow ! This is seriously good work, David. As the curmudgeonly BigEric I have been trying to suggest minor improvement to your "windmills" piece... but this truly blows me away... I hope you are entering it for competition/award recognition. It certainly has my nomination. Not a totally original story but a nevertheless excellent piece. David Wood. We should all watch for this name in future. More !!!

  • That was AMAZING, you're really good at filming, I admire you

    Like this!:D

  • nice shots!

  • congratulations! A superb bit of film making. I found it totally absorbing. You know ho to shoot film and what makes imagery come to life. It really could be part of a gritty drama. Inspiring stuff.Hope one day I can do something that good.

  • @arfurlife Thankyou very much :-)

  • where could you find good music for short films?

  • @Suomivlog Hey just google it

  • love it!!

  • I must admit, I really liked it. This video makes me even more excited to get my SD700 in the next few days.. :)

  • can you please help i have this camera but dont know how to upload.. im using mac

  • @ars112388 Hi - I just render to 720 wmv & thats fine for me, not sure on mac.

  • Great video, congrats! Just shows that person behind the camera (and production) is more important than just the equipment. I've got TM700, but I'll never make something like this - unfortunately :)

Of course, Panasonic SD700 @ 50p sure did help with the production, specially with those slow-motion parts, but still, congratulations to David for shooting, directing and producing this video..

  • @luxzg Many thanks for your comments, glad you liked it. I'm sure you could do the same, just about having a go :-)

  • @mixthemix - well, than I'll just have to try, won't I? :) My vacation is soon, maybe than I'll have some time to play around :)

  • perfect! do you have any idea how long ive been searching for a pan700 demonstration vid like this!!!!!! awesome!!!! everyone else on youtube seemed to upload stupid demo test vids of their cats and plants, flowers and shit. you did the real thing, and played with light, etc to show us what it can do. congrats, and looking forward to purchasing a tm700!!!

  • @kudjo24 - Thank you, glad it made up your mind for you :-)

  • Very very well done. Congrats. I too have the sd700 and was wondering how you formatted and filmed for 2.35 cinemascope AR? Something I'd like to do very much. Thanks.

  • @bendena0jones - Thanks ... I actually closed the top & bottom of the screen manually in Vegas.

  • Great work...

Was this vid shot in 1080/60p? I purchased the HDC-HS700K a few weeks ago and am wondering if Vegas supports editing of raw 1080/60p, 1920x1080 HD footage shot with this camera.

I noticed that this vid can only be watched in 720p.

    Thanks-

  • @digitaldewd - Many Thanks, yes 1080 can be edited raw in vegas. I uploaded 720p on here just to save file size.

    Regards
