Article 4, Section 2 of the Constitution. Also, Title 18 USC Section 241 & 242 supersede any legislation passed within any of the several states.
No, runnerrk, the Constitution grants individuals broad, expansive rights. The powers granted to the government are "basic and few." The remainder are reserved to the individual.

We are the only ones who have blown people up with nuclear weapons... and yet... well... you get the point.
perhaps the most absurd comment I've read on utube to date...
America is the world, dummy....she alone can be trusted with nukes...and she has never used them without grave cause, namely to save American lives...
the difference between America and her many adversaries around the globe is she will return, once her enemies have been erradicated, to her mantle of benevolence...
megalomaniac?...hardly...I see myself as far less wonderful than I really am...:)
I wasn't speaking of America in terms of perpetuity...as a great republic, her end is certain, perhaps imminent...as secular humanist influence steadily increases...
the backbone of any civilized society is the family unit...the family unit remains strong only for as long as moral standards remain high...high morals come only from adherence to Godly principles, the ten commandments, upon which our system of laws is based...secular humanism is the antithesis of these principles...
all of America's problems are a result of her slide into secular humanism...
I agree and disagree. I agree that family is important and that adhering to laws, laws of creation, laws of nature, makes people strong, in a good way.
I think the secular humanism you describe is akin to a dark nihilism, which people think there is nothing so they just do whatever they want thinking there is no consequence. I dont agree with that sort of thinking either.
America's problem are not just about the humanism, but also due to the fact that this country reckless enforces its will -
I posted another comment after that one but it seems to have not posted.
It enforces its will against other countries, acting like the police force of the world, self appointed.
Just look at all of the military bases we have posted around the globe. I dont see any bases from other countries here! So what does that tell you? We post these bases and stick our nose in other countries affairs, for our own positionalities. It may seem like we "avoid" enforcing our will, but just look at Iraq!
I see America as highly restrained, too restrained, in dealing with her enemies and friends of her enemies...
our bases abroad largely keep despots from invading...and the peoples and govts of these countries know it...we are much more than just welcome there...they view our presense as a godsend, both militarily and economically...
most iraqis thank allah every day for our presense...
runnerrk, "the backbone of any civilized society" is the right of family and individual units to be free of state interference in their daily operations. The US government has no legal right to enforce nor even encourage your religion.
''''The US government has no legal right to enforce nor even encourage your religion. ''''

"agreed...nor has the US govt any right interfering with the will of the majority regarding same...the minority has no constitutional redress when it is 'offended'..."
Wrong! The exact purpose of the Constitution is to put absolute bounds on majority rule, which by law may never violate any individual's rights.
2. "offense does not equal oppression..."
Can you name a real example of oppression that is not a legal offense?
you mistake privileges for rights...your rights under the constitution are basic and few...and do not encompass the privilege of stifling the will of a majority...
'''''Can you name a real example of oppression that is not a legal offense? '''''
I just cited offense that is not oppression (violation of constitutional rights)...
the only oppression in America is against moral conservative(ism)...via judicial activism (usurpation), principally...
Frankly, Iran should develop nuclear weapons. That might be the only thing that would prevent a country like the U.S. from invading them (seeing as how Iraq got invaded despite being in compliance with U.N. resolutions concerning the development of WMDs). At any rate, I feel it's necessary to point something out:
i want to squeeze your squishy cheeks :) ha ha they are the cutest in the world although my niece(she's 3y.o (adorable baby)) she holds the record of cutest cheeks but you hold the second place.
So far so good- I'm having keyboard techincal problems... so my ever so little touch typing skills are being confounded by crazy sudden findings of my curser in the middle of an entirely different page.. hope you have better luck without tech support, but I assume you will be fine!!!!
Marta-you are wearing a t-shirt. This is not suitably professional. You speak for all professional women. A dark suit is professional. Pearls. Low heels and hose.
In Sweden she would fit right in, they always look really funky and trendy, but also like Marta rather low key about it.. but no suits very often.. unless someone dies... in America news casters are all suits and such.. :P
And what good does it do us? The American television news audience has been steadily declining since the 70s as has the public's confidence in the establishment.
I had a news director once force me to wear a full suit for a live shot ON THE BEACH. I looked ridiculous.
Wow... and to think I was kind of jealous of broadcasters :) (I was a print major in college, although it never sounds as impressive when I say that out loud)
It sucks that the U.S. Government thinks that they have authority over another country's plans. In all honesty, they seem desperate, as if they're actively trying to prevent Iran from progressing, some might say they're trying to provoke conflict?
Yh like you said, like kids :/
Oh, that thing you said telepathically, was like SO ENLIGHTENING! you're life changing Marta ;)
Marta, when you're talking to me telepathically, it helps if you cock your head to one side, like Matt Parkman on NBC's Heroes. And then the camera has to jostle around a bit for no reason with mysterious music playing. Your message will come in a lot clearer that way. Then you'll hear me yell at ya to GET OUTTA MAH HEAD!
Tim Kring should give Marta a part on Heroes. She could have the mutant power of incapacitating her foes with uncontrollable bursts of laughter. Or lasers could shoot out of her fingers. *pyew* *pyew*
Marta would look great in camoflage, as Mike8494 said. Marta would also look great in a camisole, whatever that is. Marta would look great in a rusted suit of armor. She might even look great in a vat filled with slime. I can't imagine anything Marta wouldn't look great in. Can you?
Hooray! I thought I was going to have spend the entire day under my desk as I didn't get my daily Marta Fix. Great Job! It was ESPecially good today. In regards to the ESP deal Marta -- Yes, we connected and Yeah I know what you mean...I get that alot, but honestly, It's just a birthmark. Is it MY fault that Austrialia looks like a bent over sheep with a back tumor? Bogus. Thanks for the extra efforts. 2 days till Halloween (batgirl cowl, batgirl cowl, batgirl cowl). Have a super Day!
Hey Marta. When you were having your ESP moment(2:24 to 2:30) we were thinking about the same thing, and yes I do feel the same way about you. LOL. Have a great day.
Not exactly. It's just that poll results reflect the mentality of those types of people who like to participate in opinion polls. They do not reflect the mindset of the entire population. Many people, including most of the smart ones, won't waste their time with a poll of that sort. Hence, opinion polls tend to be skewed toward the dopes who think their opinions are meaningful to others, when they're really not.
It says the data you contribute was provided by someone who likes to participate in opinion polls. I suppose there are two categories, pleasers and dopes. I don't like those polls because they're not done for fun. There's always an agenda. Someone is trying to sell something, and they want me to help them. They're going to use the results to manipulate people.
Thank you. I've been practicing for a long time. You know, when you think, "If anyone can hear my thoughts, lift your right arm to let me know." Still hasn't worked... but I keep trying.
Imagine being in a room with this clip being played on repeat indefinitly at high volume on a big, indestructable screen. You'd be like, arrrrgh, kill me now, and they'd be like harr, no you have to watch this horrible crap forever, and you'd be like, arrrgh nooo how quick can I smash my brains in. you're so cool Marta. You can't be a good monster though, lol
rabblt 4 years ago
Hey thanks! But am I not a scary enough monster or what?
gnooze 4 years ago
Hehe, That's what I meant. You're more kind of cute to be scary ;)
Oh and I'm really impressed by you Marta, You've answered all your comments here, amazing!
Have a great day!

Marta-you are wearing a t-shirt. This is not suitably professional. You speak for all professional women. A dark suit is professional. Pearls. Low heels and hose.
livelifealwaystoo 4 years ago
Oh. Hi, Condaleeza.
livelifealwaystoo 4 years ago
I hope this is sarcasm! Because she can wear whatever she wants! ;-)
ravensky23 4 years ago
yes. sarcasm.
livelifealwaystoo 4 years ago
In Sweden she would fit right in, they always look really funky and trendy, but also like Marta rather low key about it.. but no suits very often.. unless someone dies... in America news casters are all suits and such.. :P
AlterEgoTrip 4 years ago
And what good does it do us? The American television news audience has been steadily declining since the 70s as has the public's confidence in the establishment.
I had a news director once force me to wear a full suit for a live shot ON THE BEACH. I looked ridiculous.
gnooze 4 years ago
I get the point! You've just inspired me for a cultural project.. :D
AlterEgoTrip 4 years ago
Wow... and to think I was kind of jealous of broadcasters :) (I was a print major in college, although it never sounds as impressive when I say that out loud)
iniksbane 4 years ago
Marta-you are wearing clothing. This is not unsuitably acceptable. Your audience demands more skin. Pearls. Low heels and hose.
ZachsMind 4 years ago
lol

Unpaid hosting = t-shirt :)
gnooze 4 years ago
Well it IS the Rainbow Brite T-Shirt. Shame you can't wear that every day. =)

OMG! Bush has the guns!? *pschoow pschoow*
Great show once again :D
good luck with your non-tech supported shows :P

Thanks for the support for the unsupported shows. And re: my enlightening mind message... you can quote me on that.
gnooze 4 years ago
this show rocks... thanks marta
nocafeine 4 years ago 2
:) Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the nice comment!
gnooze 4 years ago
Marta, when you're talking to me telepathically, it helps if you cock your head to one side, like Matt Parkman on NBC's Heroes. And then the camera has to jostle around a bit for no reason with mysterious music playing. Your message will come in a lot clearer that way. Then you'll hear me yell at ya to GET OUTTA MAH HEAD!
ZachsMind 4 years ago 2
LOL, I think that might work!
I love Heroes ;-)
ravensky23 4 years ago
Tim Kring should give Marta a part on Heroes. She could have the mutant power of incapacitating her foes with uncontrollable bursts of laughter. Or lasers could shoot out of her fingers. *pyew* *pyew*
ZachsMind 4 years ago
That would be so cool. That would be cooler than Abraham Lincoln.

Awesome job marta you are the best and yes you would look great in Camoflage! (-: Mike
mike8494 4 years ago
Marta would look great in camoflage, as Mike8494 said. Marta would also look great in a camisole, whatever that is. Marta would look great in a rusted suit of armor. She might even look great in a vat filled with slime. I can't imagine anything Marta wouldn't look great in. Can you?
ZachsMind 4 years ago
A camisole is like a fancy tank top, usually comprised in some part of lace. Typically worn under a sweater.

Hey thanks Mike!

Hello,Marta.
I wonder if you will report on the upcoming war against Iran? That would be nearly sexy, seeing you in desert camoflage!
Blargaldalien 4 years ago
Ah yes, but I would not be sexy dead. I used to want to do war reporting, but then I realized how #$&#(% dangerous that is!!!!

Fortunately, poll results reflect the opinions of people who think their opinions count for anything, so they're all skewed toward the stupid.
jonesr999 4 years ago
Are you saying that no one's opinion counts?
gnooze 4 years ago
Not exactly. It's just that poll results reflect the mentality of those types of people who like to participate in opinion polls. They do not reflect the mindset of the entire population. Many people, including most of the smart ones, won't waste their time with a poll of that sort. Hence, opinion polls tend to be skewed toward the dopes who think their opinions are meaningful to others, when they're really not.
jonesr999 4 years ago
Ah. I see. But I take part in surveys because I'm a pleaser and I like to be helpful; it's no grandiose thinking on my part.
What does that say about the data I contribute?
gnooze 4 years ago
It says the data you contribute was provided by someone who likes to participate in opinion polls. I suppose there are two categories, pleasers and dopes. I don't like those polls because they're not done for fun. There's always an agenda. Someone is trying to sell something, and they want me to help them. They're going to use the results to manipulate people.
