Of course Dr Cox has helped Elliot before but I think its fair to say that the major (and very few) times he did help her were on episodes and the rest of the year Cox was being his regular annoying self to Elliot.

Helping someone a few times doesn't make up for constant abuse.

i recall at least twice when he did help her-when he told her she needed to have a break once in a while (tells her to pick up his dogs stall) and when he punched kelso- this is the only part of Scrubs (and this might get me thumbs down but i dont care) i did not like, elliot from season 4-6 was a self righteous annoyance. I suppose in season 8 they did address it, but at times i really did not like the character, which shouldn't happen as even Kelso was likable despite being horrible at times
