The 28 M is a Constellation model I believe with plastic guards and different shaped keys on some of the keys. My horn as you can see is really mint. I owned a 28m I in 1956 for one year. I found it was a little thinner wall body than the 6M. The 6M is more in the tradition of the Conn AS as far as I can see.
I had one of those with the octave hole in the neck "on the wrong side".
However, mine wasn't very good and once I played the instructor's saxophone,
I knew there was better. I played mine in the 70's.
