can you directly hook up an ipod to this speaker? or do you have to have a mixer?

@wildmatty18 The Mackie Thumps 15a have XLR inputs, if you can find away of going from iPod to XLR then you can plug it in. Not sure if it will work, but you could purchase a small basic mixer which has XLR out-puts. Thanks for the comment, please subscribe.

@wildmatty18 You can! Get a 1/8" split to 2 xlr and there you have it. A kickass system driven by your ipod. That's what I have and trust me this package kicked ass at the cottage all summer. Boaters were actually stopping by our cottage to enjoy the pure, clean pumping sound of my TH-15A set... I recommend them anytime!
