THIS IS AMAZING! best version i have ever seen. and its live which shows this man has real talent not the talent of some of todays pop stars as they alter their voices on machines until it doesnt even sound like them. But this is raw, beautiful talent! amazing job!
i am in grease right now at a summer theater, and this is my favorite song of the show, always has been and i watch this about everyday!! his performance is flawless and so exciting.
Man, I just got Cast as Doody in our production of grease, and oh buddy this is going to be great. I just hope i can do anything close to this magnitude of performance tho. Sam blows my mind every time he sings, most defiantly this is going to be so great. I'm so stoked.
Good to you and congrats on getting Doody, I did Grease last year and was Casted as Danny, but if there was anyone else I would have loved to have been it would have been Doody, Those Magic Changes is my favourite song in the whole show!
I live in England and have never heard of you before i happened upon your video. This is the best performance i have ever seen. I think your movement and stage presence is excellent and your voice out of this world. I perform with a Roy Orbison tribute show and thought i had heard the best voice ever in the man who performs Roy's songs but you really are amazing. When the hairs have settled down on the back of my neck i'll watch it again ...BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think i was about 13 when this production was playing in new york and i'd play this recording over and over DYING for this vocal range. such a solid cast. i loved hearing this, kenickie TEAR UP greased lightning, and billy porter unlike any other teen angel. HA! the beating of my broken heart...
ive seen greese 4 times ,all have been superb but this guy sings this song a mile above the rest .wish you were there on one of them .perfection .you wont be topped(you cant)
Say "Grease" three days ago in London. That was the best thing I´ve ever seen. And Benjamin Ibbott sings "Those Magic Changes" perfectly. He´s so good. Would love to see this one more time.
I'll never forget when my friend Keith gave me this CD. It was the first time I'd ever heard Sam Harris. I absolutely love that song from the CD and I only imagined what he looked liked performing this. Now I know. WOW! Just amazing!!! Forever a fan! -Jason Yeager
they're singing the guitar chords. look up a different rendition where it puts the song in context - doody has learned how to play the guitar over the summer, etc.
well i played Roger like a thousand years ago on Grease (duh!) and that same year i had the chance to go see it on Broadway (1994) and I was really looking forward to Those Magic Changes... i was sooo pleased with what i heard and saw i can't even put it in words!
i've seen like a bzillion Grease productions and casts (Broadway and West End and more) and there's been no one like Sam Harris! HONEST. and i did have a crush on him for like ages! hahahah no afraid to admit it
I wished that they left this whole number in the film version. Too bad Sam wasn't known back in 1978; he would have been a great addition! 5+ stars! THANKS this is really big treat :-D

I liked this song, but with your voice.... I love it!!! I like a lot your voice. Is there a cd with this version? Well Congratulations, I played in a grease video of the English school...so I love this song. Greetings from Mexico city!!!
I can actually listen to this....sounds great,BUT The NEW Danny and Sandy............BLAH, SUCK!..my ears bleed when Max and Laura sing (and Hello..I am from the 70's, Sandy is a BLONDE!
Yeah, you sound like you're from the 70's. I am going to see Max and Laura's final show tomorrow, and just can't wait! They are AMAZING with INCREDIBLE voices---you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. And hello, guess what? love love love him. His voice is one that inspires me as a singer. I remember listening to this song over and over and over when I was in high school. Just amazing. I only wish one day he could hear one of my renditions and say the same. Beautiful.
I saw the play when he was doing Doody... Now I cant wait to see it next Friday... but I can tell the one who's playing Doody will have big shoes to fill because there is only Sam Harris to sing those magic changes like that.
