Put the fans the other way. Pull the air out instead of blowing the hot air back in, or move the fan to the bottom intake. But that adds more dust. I find the best way to keep it from getting red rings is to get a 120gb hard drive from ebay for 40 bucks, and installing the games.

what a dumb ass idea, the only thing that those fans are going to do is interrupt the air flow from the original cooling fans, making harder on the original fans to run, making your Xbox 360 even warmer, with less air flowing, it will fuck up your xbox 360 in no time at all. picture this, say you have a tiny 1mm fan connected to a pipe. The airflow will be small outside the pipe. Now you connect a gigantic fan and attach that to the back. You will get more airflow. The small fan is negligible, it doesn't matter if it dies or not, you will get more airflow

Ok, the small fan will interrupt the air flow the big fan is making threw the tube, not only will the small fan overheat like a mother fucker, because its spinning much faster then it should, it would "drain" power from the bigger fan, Trust me youre better off leaving the xbox the way it is. its made in japan, i think they know what airflow is.

when the small fan is spinning faster than it should it will do nothing because a faster rotation of the fan dosn't effect the power of the motor (the motor is just rotating faster than usual because of more pull from the external fan). the fan is fixed to a pole which is connected to the motor which can rotate faster than it should without drawing more power.

I agree, but 4 LED's in a fan are not gonna use much- to give you a perspective, a good 120m fan uses 0.8 watts at full speed. ut seriously, the revised xbox's cooling works fine, and while it is understandable to put quieter fans in it, doing something like watercooling is foolish, costly and voids your warranty, not to mention bulky.

black should be your ground. and the blue and green im going to guess is the the speed of the fan. its for the computer. hook up the black and yellow and see what happens. but try each color. one might blow the most.

the blue and green are for the pc. you know when your computer gets louder or the fans turn on? well those 2 wires trigger it so that when your computer works harder the fans turn on, and the black and yellow are providing the power. so take the black wire, and hook it to the negative of the adapter or usb cable, wichever you chose, and the yellow to the black wire with the white stripe, or the red, or somtimes, the yellow.

Not to jump in on you two's little argument but look up the nyko intercooler reviews and complaints. It does infact rob power from the system and cause it to work harder to maintain its needed power. I use one but after reading 50+ confirmed RROD due to the intercooler and it voiding your warranty due to it melting itself the back of the Xbox.. I am removing mine. He didn't mention that at all. He says that it takes power from the processing units but it actually doesn't. It takes power from your power supply.

The purpose of this cooler is to remove the warm air out of the casing while the newer Xbox 360's don't need it cause it's a newer model. Different motherboard with a less amount of nanometer (nm) fabrication. This has the effect that less heat exists and that they can make it work faster.

I have an elite but it did get the RROD last month unfortunately. I sent it to Texas and got it back 10 days later. It came back with the same serial number though but the cover panels are new--I know cause my old one got scratches. (I wonder what they did with it). Anyway, it's probably a good idea to have additional cooling to avoid the hassle of having to send your xbox for repair. Repair=10days of downtime. No XBOX

I'm from Brazil and here it's hot all the time and I was worried about the 3RL so I decided to make this cooler acording to this guy video.

Outstanding... I used my xbox for 2 day in sequence and when I got to sleep I left it in stby mode (download). For two days in sequence and my 360 just got a little warm.
