Do you have to put it in the oil? I just changed mine 2 days ago. Will it work the same if I just put half in the vaccum line and half in the gas tank?
@furiousStang its advised you put the seafoam in as many lines to the motor as possible. Just to ensure you get all the carbon build up out of the motor. Doesnt matter when you change your oil because it doesnt clean your oil it cleans your motor.
You should have poured in through a vacum line. When you just pour it through the gas it dosnt really clean the valves and intake runners as much as it could
hey i bought seafoam from autozone and and i asked what to do b/c im getting horrible MPG on my 91 LeSabre custom so he said just pour the can into the gas tank and that should clean it up...but i let it sit for 20 mjin or longer started it and all and no smoke....whats wrong? do i need to put more through a vacuum line or something? the car has 63,000 miles on it and never seafoamed form what i know.
@CODxFUNxMAN let the car run, it has to filter through all that gas then go through the fuel pump before it gets to the motor cleans it out then shoots out your tail pipes
Do I have to put it in the oil and if I don't need to will I still need to change the oil? Or if I do have to will I need to change the oil? I just changed my oil and want to change it again. And what exhaust do you have on yours? I have the Mac Catback.
@DerrickT113 Look straight at the engine bay. To your right you see a big circle thing called the brake booster. Its sitting right on the fire wall. Sticking out of it is your master cylinder. There should be a fairly thick line going to the brake booster. Use that line. Be sure to take the valve off it
hey, I'm seeing a BBK plenum/tb on there, is that the 78 mil? and if so, how does that sucker run on there, I was thinking about it and worried it was too big
@7gabe0mike7 hey man it runs great. You are correct it is the 78mm. The T/B helped out a good bit. Theres no such thing as a throttle body thats too bug
Cleans carbon buildup across most parts of the engine. Helps with regaining some lost horsepower over the years or an aging vehicle and better throttle response. better Idle.... bunch of little things.
