You may think the beginning is depressing, sure, that's all part of life though, and that's Carl's backstory that motivates him through the film. We may not have gotten to know him that well just through flashbacks but we see him come to terms with his present reality as he's reminded of what's still presently important. The movie will get your tear ducts going a few times in between some genuinely funny moments. The whole scenario is ridiculous, and the last shot of the house is priceless.

For one thing, this is Pixar's doing; just because they have been bought by Disney doesn't mean Disney actually had anything to do with it.

Secondly, are you against this movie just because it is CGI? That's a stupid reason. Don't make an opinion of something until you've actually SEEN it, because this is by far the best *PIXAR* has ever done.

"UP" I think is the greatest movie from Pixar yet! During the end of the movie my sister cried and I almost cried. This such a great movie to watch it has comedy, romance, and a little bit of tradgedy. I highly recomend watching this movie.

I seen this movie and it was excellent. Pixar just makes excellent movies and their isn't one i dislike yet. Up so far is their 3rd most sucessful feature, and it deserves to be that. All of pixar's films have been sucessful with viewers and the box office. It is a great movie, and no movie will be able to top it, if u haven't seen it yet, go see it!!You won't regret it and in 3D it is really cool.

i agree with audrey. this movie was amazing! i never laughed nor cried so hard in any other movie theater. perfect date movie. i saw this with my girlfriend opening night. its great for any age; it has a lot of adult humor that some people might not be able to appreciate. it did touch on alot of dark topics that i personally dont think little kids would be able to understand. it would be alright if a parent was with them to explain though. great movie though. disney pixar does it again! <33

people of the world, went to see this film last night and well, 3D makes it great but the story is so well told. And highly recommend it. Personally, it is a movie that deals with the spirit of someone who dies, and who wants those left behind to keep on living and perhaps help kids who are not fortunate enough. One big flaw in this animation...

When the house is leaving the ground there is clearly no one on the porch or even a place to hide on the porch so How did the boy scout get on? He would have had to jump on after the house is flying....
