Gary’s first UK tour April 21 to May 15 1962 he, Johnny Burnette and Gene McDaniels were backed by The Flee-Rekkers, a British sax-led group. During this time The Beatles (with Pete Best) were at The Star Club, Hamburg.
Gary’s second UK tour Nov 24 to Nov 29 1963 he joined Duane Eddy. The backing groups on this tour were Sounds Incorporated and The Flintsones, both sax-based groups. At this time The Beatles (with Ringo) were headlining their own tour at different locations to Bonds.
