On September 14th we gotta all watch "Nas Is Like" in honor of Nasir Olu Dara Jones' Birthday, We gotta give him the respect he needs and give him the highest viewed video on YouTube!! Let's give him what he deserves and what these fake ass motherfuckas (any rapper on the radio) don't deserve to have
Copy and paste to all Nas' videos and all music videos let's get this shit noticed.
TOP TEN GREATEST RAPPERS OF ALL TIME 1. SOULJA BOY 2. marky mark 3. salt n peppa 4. lil romeo 5.puff daddy 6.lil kim 7. garth brooks 8.vanilla ice 9. hootie and the blowfish 10. lil bow wow
Nuthin wrong with silver tupac. Nas has u beat. the best flow ever. when he dies hes taking hip hop with him and we will be left with his soulja boy. but i will play his tracks till im 6 feet deep
This album is amazing. I have listenned to it front to back prabably close to 50 times and I still love it. A true classic. The beats are nice, and Nas's thoughts are always honest and deep.
how did i say that? i replied to who i thought was the most underrated. nas isnt underrated. how can you think cormega sucks "i think there's something wrong with you." obviously you don't pick up on the symbolism and metaphors in his rhymes or else you wouldnt say that. And to clarify i dont think cormega is better then nas at all.
This song got AZ a deal, he killed it. One of the best songs off Illmatic. If y'all like underground hip hop, click my page. I got my whole mixtape plus new tracks posted. New mixtape Nov 08, free download. 1
fam, I gotta disagree strongly, there's a song where I feel AZ definitely outshines NAS, that's a song called "How u living on ya block".. I thought Az killed it.
But nas , "static like wool fabric "
" I switched my motto, instead of sayin' fuck tomorrow, that buck that bought a bottle coulda struck the lotto"
shut up killarich07 u kno damn rite what his name is and u prolly jam to him and obviously "this is way better thr soulja boy" nas is a lyrical beast soulja boy is all commercial
"lights, camera, action, glamour glitters and gold, I unfold the scroll, plant seeds to stampede the globe" That shit slides off the tounge real smooth...AZ and Nas on this track though, damn...just listen!
Jesus christ, I love this fucking jam...I've lost ( or had it stolen)this CD at least five times. And each time I'd go out and fork over the bread for a new copy...In fact, I gotta go grab a new copy after I get off of work...
90s Hip hop was the best; no joke, man...I don't even listen to hip hop anymore...it just doesn't have the character is once had...
Hip-Hop is the voice for the opressed. Any lil nigger on the street can rap. Someone rapping about rediculous amounts of money, million dollar cars, million dollar jewellery, crazy amounts of drugs dat half I aint even heard of - How is that Hip-Hop? Where is the Hip-Hop?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
First of all all rap isn't all like Nas or Tupac. You dont have to have a "message" in your songs for it to be good music.(Although "Tie My Hands" has a good message in it and is by Lil' Wayne). Lil' Wayne's style is just different, its his flow/voice is what makes him.
@Throwbacc7 haha i remember my teacher asked me what i was listenin to when i had my ipod in and she wasnt fond of hip hop either. i was listening to illmatic and i was afraid she would say somethin negative bout it but i let her listen anyways and she said the same thing i still say to this day...... "THIS IS GOOD MUSIC BUT Y DONT THEY EVER PLAY THIS ON THE RADIO"
She doesn't listen to Nas. I simply said that Illmatic caused her to retract her previous negative opinion of hip-hop. I won't respond to the ignorant insult however.
wow to all the fags out there who think that lil wayne is better than nas, you r the most retarted ppl i have ever seen in my life, nas is the one of the best if not the best and lil wayne is some wanna be
I'm from Brooklyn and i can tell you that I love the real NY Hip Hop!!! all you see now is a bunch of lil punks trying to act like they from the south or some shit! alot of wannabees in NY right now!!! for all you punks step your fucking game up like we did niggas! this "NY" new generation does not REPRESENT ME! or my real NYC hip hop heads!!! much love to mobb deep,Nas,JayZ,Rakim and all my Bboys and Bgirls. one.
Yea thats happening because that wack south shit is sellin the most right now. FOR NOW! Honestly I stopped listening when I started hearing it on the radio. I cant stand it! NY is the cream of the crop when it comes to hip hop period.
Nas and AZ did do a collab album called "The Firm". Tt also had Foxy and Nature on there but personally the album was not that hot. "Doe or Die" by AZ had a few songs featuring Nas which were all bangers, so check that joint out - it probably has what you are looking for.
ohh yea thats right,i must have forgot. i heard that album before. what i meant to say, was that i wish they still did songs together, cuz i haven't heard a new song of them together in a while.
AZ:Yo what's the dilly? I just touched ground in Philly. :)
REAL HIP HOP==NAS, TUPAC,MOS DEF, LUPE FIASCO, TALIB KWELI, AZ,IMORTAL TECH, DEAD PREZ, PHAROAH MONCH, COMMON AND K'NAAN who amazed me with his songs -Blues for the horn and what's hardcore...DEAD HIP HOP= SELF-PROCLAIMED GANGSTERS LIKE 50 cunt cent, LIL pussy wayne and all the spoiled rich kids who are unappreciative to life LIKE soulja kid... i am grateful that real HIP HOP would LIVE to see tomorrow even though we got so many whack wacked RAPPERS
Not sure why this is rated up when he does not have Early Eminem, Ghostface, Raekwon, Gza, Early Method man, Inspectha deck, BIG, Tupac, Big Pun, Big L and more out there that i cant recall at the moent
Maybe you got some issues!... we praise songs and artists that are praiseworthy... if you combine all the artist you mentioned the message they convey does not come close to what NAS is talking about in just ONE SONG!... IF you are not blind i mentioned TUPAC...BY THE WAY ARE you white... because you mentioned EMINEM first HE is better than LIL WAyne BUT he doesn't come close to the likes of NAS!
yo i am young and i did not grow up in this era and ever since about 2 years ago i have been hooked on nas but i just herd about az because of his new album so can somebody reply and tell me the names of some of his albums and some other good rappers and i do not mean soulja boy HE IS THE WORST (if you can call him this) RAPPER OUT TODAY

This is ill, dope Illmatic is the greatest rap/hip hop album ever, I love eminem's songs, but when i listen to nas, which is frequently, i realise Nas, is way up there with Big L and Tupac.
