Christ was all for love and compation, of course. But he wasn't for "Peace" as todays Liberals know it. But a sword of truth, of what Christians believe is the Word and Law of God. Not meant to keep peace, because peace and never changing your lifestyle for the better won't improve the world. Improvement in terms of morality, of course.

@qualityrkc Also, Christ WAS a Liberal, but the terms "Liberal" and "Conservative" are in comparison to the times. Liberal is synonymous with radical, which means to want quick change to current thought processes or government. By THAT definition, He was a liberal. But in terms of what is considered today to be Liberal, Christ and the Bible acknowledge homosexuality, stealing, etc., are sinful, but the point is to change people through love, that what His message, by loving "unlovable" people...

@TheWolfe22 He was NOT a liberal (at least a modern one). First of all, liberals can't have it both ways. They dislike what Christianity teaches and yet they claim Jesus is one of them? Retarded. Second, Jesus never endorsed socialist policies that would force others to give generously to the poor; it was out of their own heart and genuineness. Jesus was a revolutionary, but it was void of barbaric violence (i.e. The bloody liberal French Revolution). He never "forced men to be free".

Jesus was not a strict pacifist. Yes, he emphasized forgiveness, but he was also pragmatic enough to know of human nature, and the necessary times in which war is to be waged against injustice (remember his righteous anger at the temple?).

@qualityrkc Jesus was said to be the embodiment of God, who allowed and assisted the Israelites of the Old Testament to wage war against their enemies. Even in the New Testament states that government has the sword for a reason. b/c God is, according to scripture, the same yesterday, today, and forever, then it's unfounded to say Jesus is in dissent of his Father.

Ultimately, Jesus practiced a balance between grace and truth. He's not the delusional liberal pacifist you make him out to be..
