I love watching the interviews w/janis.She is so funny.She had it ALL going 4 her.! I read the book "Going down w/janis" back in the 70's by peggy caserta who claimed 2 b her girl.It's worth reading,but I dont remember the 2nd half 2 well.I'd like 2 read it once more since Im much older now.I was 11 when I read it.I remember it being very "dark"Peggy made it seem like no 1 wanted janis but her & I dont believe that 4 1 sec.Janis was & is an angel!! peggy caserta is a 2- faced back-stabber.

I've never seen any live performer sing with more passion and emotion than Janis.... There may be a select handful that are in her class, but no one I've seen sings with more raw expressive heart...

Seriously, she will make you change your mind. She gets compared to Janis a lot - a lot of people even think that she is even better than Janis was. If you love raw, emotional, passionate music, do yourself a favor and check her out.

Yeah, I did. I saw four songs of BH and I will be polite, instead of what some other people would write. Now, there a worlds between BH and Janis. I don't see much comparence between the two. Janis was a BLUES ROCK Singer mainly. BH seems to be some singer/songwriter. What better is, that's a individual choice up to every one. You're not the one to judge what is better or not. To me, Heather Nova or Tori Amos were better than Beth Hart. So please don't compare those singers.

I'm not judging for anyone else, only for myself. Don't get so defensive, I'm certainly not dissing Janis. I only said that some people think that Beth is better, or at least similar, which is true; some people DO think that. Any opinion about which is "better" is entirely subjective, including yours. Besides, if you've only heard 4 songs you can't really make a qualified comparison; she is much more similar to Janis than to Tori by virtually any standard, and she is certainly "blues rock".
