That's what Angulo gets for trying to take every guy out in the opening rounds and tiring out in the process. That's strategy only works on the weaker fighters. Kirkland showed power, heart, and some technical prowess in this fight. Hopefully Canelo will grow the balls to fight this monster. War Kirkland!

If Kirkland can step his defence, he'd be a complete fighter with a questionable chin perhaps, but no can't deny he'd draw box office mayhem if he can reach that next level.. In regards to Angulo, he was over-powered the beginning until he caught Kirkland with a punch he didn't see coming. If they had a rematch, he'd make sure that didn't happen again, and may end it in the 1st round..

Angulo was badly hurt and never recovered from the knockdown. He was just trying to survive like a true Mexican warrior. Truth is, that Kirkland is the harder puncher and is also a much complete fighter. Angulo is not ring intelligent. He´s the typical Mexican brawler... Put him with someone more technical and he has problems. Kirkland did very good. He proved everyone that he´s amongst the top guys at 154. I still think he has a weak chin. He needs to be carefull and work on his defense.

Fuck me, I watched the Angulo-Kirkland fight today, and let me just say WOW. I have not seen a first round like that since Hagler-Hearns. OMG, everybody at the bar I was watching it at, couldn't stop talking about it, and this is why I fucking love boxing. First round they went toe-to-toe and went to war, Angulo dropped Kirkland with a big right hand, Kirkland got up and never quit then dropped Angulo with a huge left hook. They exchanged for 6 rounds, but Kirkland finally got the better of him!
