@lancetan1 COD idiot. The Glock moel 8 is purpose built to be controllable under short burst, as is the Beretta M93r, this is HORRIBLY UNCONTROLLABLE.
@DamazViccar, yes if you are fast enough, you can produce a burst. That was very challenging. Perhaps a larger magazine and some bursts would be something for another update on this weapon. I'll discuss it with the owner at the next Big Sandy shoot. 28-29-30 October 2011.
@rob762x51 I think promag makes a 25 drum for the 1911...that'd be nice to see with this, and if you put on a ported barrel, it may even be controllable
Hi rob I have 1911 remington that i just love and i wonder if their is a legal way to convert it to full automatic with a selector like yours. if i can i'm serious about converting my 1911 and adding a compensator to it as well.
@r0d1tub2, Sorry, unless you're a licensed class II or other firearms manufacturer, the 1986 Hughes Amendment to the Gun Owner's Protection Act restricts your home modifications. This is what has caused transferable automatics to be priced so high, as no more can be made. Please hammer your elected representatives to strike the Hughes Amendment and bring the masses $1200 M16's and $400 MAC-11s.
@r0d1tub2 Yes, find out how to get a class 7 FFL and a class 2 SOT. License to manufacture. If you EVER let those expire without destroying the full-auto pistol then you WILL go to prison.
OK correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how it works, right?
The selector, was drilled and driven into the firing pin mechanism, but allows enough space not to touch the pin, and the part of the selector which makes contact with the disconnector turns up and down upon shooter's switching. And that's how it kinda work out, right?
@rob762x51 Why would I waste my life on an experimental weapon anyway? And if I do, would it work? I wouldn't risk some $500 to $1000 for some cuts and add-ons. Just a guest though. If somebody may be crazy enough, then make a try, but I can assure you, it'll blow up pretty instantly.
@1stMarineCapt You do realize that doing that is HORRIBLY illigal and by doing it you WILL (not "might", WILL) wind up in FEDERAL-pound-me-in-the-ass-PRISION
@1lovesoni If I put that thing in a bullet proof safe and take it out for like once a decade then not even the CIA that would ever got an acknowledge of it.
@1stMarineCapt Dude, doing it in the first place WILL get you in jail. Also, people will talk, anyone you mention it to, or that see's / hears you firing it might tell. Not to mention that you ARE TALKING ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET. Have you ever heard of the Office of Information Awareness? Lastly, why not just get an FFL 7/SOT 2 (or maybe it's because you cant, because your a convicted felon (maybe you have a history of doing stupid stuff and thinking you'll not get caught)).
@1lovesoni OK, you've prove yourself a very sharp point, but there are tons of guys right on our homeland doing illegal stuffs and never get caught on the net, so, you just pecked the wrong holes!
Anyway, I live in CA, and some of my friends are LAPD, so, probably friendship over favorites.
@1stMarineCapt Just don't think it's a good idea. Especially when you CAN legally do it. also, I really doubt having some freinds who are local LEOs is going to be worth anything when your dealing with federal agents from the ATF. They don't screw around with illegal arms, are you familiar with what happened at Ruby Ridge?
@1lovesoni Listen, I don't benefit myself from friendships, and the idea is just for fun. Full or semi auto, it's still a pistol, and I already made my statement, I don't want to waste some 1-2000 bucks worth on an experiment that may only bring me trouble. Are we clear?
@IDGAF454 Well, suffice to say, people died partially because of illegal gunsmithing. not saying it was right, but it happened. So I really thunk people should keep that in mind before trying to make illegal arms.
I found a .PDF document for converting a 1911. They want you to add an 'auxiliary trigger mechanism / front grip' under the barrel. It fires from the slide in the rear position, kind of like an open bolt.
Some high capacity mags=fuck off glock 18. Thanks for sharing. I want to buy it. If you are serious about selling it at a Class 3 weapon price let me know. I am willing to pay the right price. I am not joking.
@johnmanningnavy1983, Go to the MG Shooters website listed in the above description. Navigate to the contact page, send Ed an email with a starting bid. I hear he swapped a Ford Bronco for it. He likes it a lot, so your offer would have to be persuasive. Otherwise, I don't think it's for sale.
hahahaha add a compensator to the muzzle get a ridiculously long extended magazine, 32 rounds maybe, made for it and have a field day it'll look ridiculous but it's a ridiculous fun gun anyway i just wanna see it go crazy
@REALDualDesertEagle hey umm, its sopose to do that like 40 times with a drum mag.lol add a ti +14in suppressor and shoulder stock and ud hav a badass close quarters weapon, lets see a shotgun do that.lol
I know how this works: the selector switch was connected with something like a small block of steel inside, and when being switched down, it'll block the disconnector, therefore this little baby turns into a big bad men!
This thing should be issue to border patrols, because they need as much as this much firepower in these days.
Nice show... I seem a custom 1911 before but I didn't Noe tat they cum n stock too...but with that much power the gun will kick hard..but I got a glock 18 full auto..it ok but not enough power too..so I was wounding do they cum 40 to or wat..
@tk9hydro, Well said, like Ian McKellen doing Shakespeare. No, there are no pre-1986, 1911's originally in 40s&w, that were converted to select-fire. Thanks for contributing.
@MrBigarmand, There would be several gunsmiths that could help you with that. However, with the The Hughes Amendment found in the 1986 Firearms Owner's Protection Act, you can not have a full auto 1911. Unless you have a request for demonstration from law enforcement or other special humans and are licensed by the BATFE to procure such an item for demonstration. Let's get the Hughes Amendment nulled and get back shooting. Speak to your representatives and stomp your feet with impatience.
Sir! Something is wrong with your gun! Where is the rail to mount a light? Where are the nightsights and the laser grips? WHAT KIND OF GUN IS THIS? :P

Once you pull the trigger in the autofire mode, does the gun shoot until it is out of ammo or misfires? Can it theoretically do controlled bursts?
