s" featuring the Glen Miller Orchestra. A little hokey, but film includes early-in-career appearances by Jackie Gleason, Harry Morgan, Cesar Romero, And even Dale Evans! Finally available on DVD.
When you post these gems....you should disable that stupid "likes/dislikes" segment. It's disrespectful when idiots who don't know what they are looking at.... hit "dislike."...just because the first 3 seconds don't appeal to them.
Amazing stuff! love the comment about gravity not being invented yet! I suppose they always danced together since they couldn't find another partner to keep up ! Anybody know what movie this is from?
I saw RAY BOLGER on TV when I was about 9 or 10. I began to dance, knocking over chairs & everything. By my teens, jumping & clicking my heels on walls, twice with both hands in my pockets at my 6' 2" height! I use to say, it's a good thing I never saw the Nicholas Bros before I grew up! I would have broken every bone in my body!
Whoa. This is ridiculous. Look at 2:30 the guy comes off the wall, hits the floor then as he's coming up he is flailing and slipping his feet like a dog that can't get any traction on the linoleum in the kitchen! Of course, THIS man isn't slipping, he's just badass! I have sent this vid to many people,my daughter's high school friends were speechless at this.!
Gil Noble did an interview with surving Nicholas brother. I got a chance to see Mr.Noble in 1989 in a bank around Lincoln cente.r I could not thank him enough for doing such an interview these gentlemen were beyond top notch. The twentyeth century is so full of awesome talent never to be duplicated. The show was Like it is sunday mornings. I am still blessed by it. God bless you Mr. Noble get well soon.
@hughbreidenbach yeah, they sing so much, Rodgers and Hart and Arlen and Mercer had them in their broadway shows in the 1930's and 40's premiering songs

Imagine if they went out today, these dance move would stand up to any dance crew around.
I'm glad they live long enough to see a time where they were appreciated as dancers and seen for more than the colour of their skin.
