How can you say that her french is "flawless", she does a few mistakes ( about gender and grammar), her french is very very good, ( probably the best american i've had the opportunity to listen to) and is accent is very good, but it's clearly not flawless.

Wow! I'm stunned. I didn't know about her excellent French knowledge and almost thought, "Now, who is dubbing her there?" ;-). I'm German and speak only very little French, but to me, not only her vocabulary and her pronunciation, but also the whole melody in voice sounds very French. And even if she went to a French-speaking school, I don't think it's usual that someone who speaks one's native language most of the time remains so "fit" in French. So she seems to be a real talent. I know French ppl who sound like they could be from Belgium or Switzerland or who sound Maghrebin but are born and raised in France- word choice and style of speech can change a lot of things - anyhow, I agree that the accents are different- I dont think that Americans sound like Canadians (in French), I think those are two different accents, but as far as English goes, most Canadians sound like they are from the U.S. aside from certain words and accents

ça n'est pas vraiment un scoop, dans les années 70 il ne se passait pas un mois sans qu'on la voit chanter ou faire des duos(Claude François, Sylvie Vartan...etc) dans les émissions des Carpentier à la télé.
