  • top speed of 141 mph love the 280zx,i wish mine was a turbo :( lol

  • I like this advertisement better than the commercials of today's Nissan cars! Cheesilly awesome!!

  • I'd take the S30 over the S130 anyday but the limited edition black and gold were hot stuff. Could anyone tell what the other two cars were? the far left looks like C3 vette headlights but the red one confuses me? doesn't look like pop up lights but celica comes to mind. Please answer :D

  • @XenoRacing Its a celica late 70s celica before it got ugly like 77-78

  • I miss old days Z cars

  • Even todays standards my ZX still kicks my brothers 96 accents ass in its own catagory of economy, it can travil 460mi on a full tank as my ZX can go around 520 miles on a full tank on the economy estamations.

  • @Jaket2000

that's cause the zx has a huge 21 gallon tank.

  • very goodd..datsun zx

  • lol AWESOME

  • damn big differense between z and zx

  • i want one sooooooo bad.

  • Awesome

  • Lol my dad still has his 83 300sx

  • my dad has 72' 240z and I don't know the year of his 280z =/

  • yea the 280 Z was an absolute BEAST! they had a straight six and could run 145-150 top speed and that was in the late 70's.

  • Yeah my dad's was 280zx not factory turbo but he added a turbocharger to it

  • yea, but even before he added the turbo that thing could still fly up to those speeds.. classic japanese sports car...

  • They are just the best

  • really?

    thats really fast!

  • Yea, dude no shit. These cars were the best of their class during the fuel crisis because even though they were inline 6, they made a lot of torque and the SOHC added some extra horses as well. The Speedometer on these cars doesn't read 160 just to look pretty. It can get pretty close to those speeds, if rebuilt or new.

  • datsun/nissan rocks!!

  • I'm in Sydney Australia and I have finally just bought my first Datsun 280 ZX 79 mod silver/blue velour (non targa unfortunately) after many years of wanting one and it arrives on a truck from Melbourne Victoria tomorrow, can't wait to do it up. They never advertised them here as ,much as the USA. They have a following here but not quiet as much. Love the Z 280...

  • I owned a 1981 white Datsun 280zx just like the one in this clip. I loved her soooooooooo much. Turbo, T-tops...what a sweet ride. (I fell asleep at the wheel driving from California to Chicago, and wrecked her in 1988).

  • ooo yes me to. she was brown with tan int,t-tops and yes TURBO BABY! OO I love that car so much I can remember in 1997 taking my friend for a ride and pushed her to much that day and overheated her. broke my heart.

  • I am getting that car for $732. It is in real good shape

  • cool car.

  • that commercial is completly true, datsuns are kick ass

  • i love this stuff !!!!

  • Datsun owns! Ta bad the whole thing ended in an economic crises...cant say that all of the Datsun charm was brought on when they were taken over by Nissan. Datsun had design and other things that made them special, the only Nissan cars that are special are the ones they adapted from Datsun. Like the Skyline and Z-series.

  • What made Datsun cars unattractive were complying with US safety regulations... Not being owned by Nissan, which they have since 1933! The reason for the "product of Nissan" disclaimer, was that the marque was about to be discontinued.

    Great video btw!

  • Nissan bought Datsun in 1932,they bought DAT Motorcar Co. Which produced Datsun in 1931. Then spelled as Datson, and later Datsun. Though, the Datsun was a brand under Nissan. It is mot famous for its line of sports coupes, the fairlady and the z-series. Datsun went later into financial problems and,Datsun technology was adapted into Nissans other models. You then got the Nissan-Datsun marque discontiued in 1983. Now you pickups carrying the Datsun brand (in japan, by Nissan).

  • woops didnt see these reply's. Oh well its covered

  • Um datsun was nissan. They re-named themselves for better sales in the us and british markets.
