@creditcrunchthis You can do it both ways, However it's much simplier using top with a trace of left hand side to control the spin, When using bottom you have to hit it so hard that you loses control of the cue ball alot of the time. But to be honest only a idiot would use bottom to play the banana shot, (yes that includes me) ;-)
