There are 2 Japanese supercars I like and they are the 2012 Nissan GTR and the 2010 Lexus LFA I'm impressed about the GTR acceleration with 0-60 time by only 2.9 seconds and 530 hp with just a V6 engine while the LFA though slower by its 0-60 time by 3.6 seconds and more expensive its unique in a way that the engine is lighter than a V6 and can hold 552hp (562 hp on the nurburgring package ) and the LFA is all about Art and perfection while the GTR is all about Performance and speed those who a

Considering all of them are average of £500,000, the GTR is the deal of the century.

Corvette for example not only competes extremely well in the GT1 series, but also the GT2 and GT3 series from the US to Europe. First few 2008 GTR's had a transmission problems when launching the car with launch control with VDC turned off. The 2011 GTR has no problem, they are built with a much stronger dual-clutch Transmission and Control Module also improved vehicle acceleration with the Vehicle Dynamic Control.

To my knowledge, the R35 GTR is not (easily) tunable in the sense that you can modify much of the default factory settings that come with the car. Its predecessors however, the R32, R33 and R34 are fairly easy to my understanding because Nissan didn't employ the same restrictions with them as they did with their latest 'baby', the R35. I'm not an engineer, so I'm not privy to the specifics, but if someone can add to this

they should drag race this against the 911 Turbo S w/ PDK. Both have amazing AWD systems and have similar acceleration, power, and weight, if im not mistakened.

People go about the ZR1 but the 458 is faster and better on a track, the GT2 RS is faster and better on a track. First of all, previous GT-R didn't have launch control. It was a technique that was suppose to be used to get out of mud/snow (directly stated that in the owners manual). This is why it voided the warranty when used improperly.
Second of all, because people are idiots, Nissan added an ACTUAL launch control so people stfu. It lets you launch the car 4 times then it has to cool off before the onboard computer lets you do more launches.

Corvette for example not only competes extremely well in the GT1 series, but also the GT2 and GT3 series from the US to Europe. I understand the JGTC is a great series, and they are with their rules as well, not saying the GTR is not a great car because it is... you just some times come off as being ignorant to what else is really out there. The Zr1 is a beast but it is still a well engineered car, with the likes of Pratt and Miller... the car is more then capable of 1g+ cornering, so get your facts straight. @nakayama3d Its already been done 0- 60MPH in 2.9 seconds and on warmer road surfaces 2.7 seconds. You can basically run 11 seconds all day with no problem.
First few 2008 GTR's had a transmission problems when launching the car with launch control with VDC turned off. The 2011 GTR has no problem, they are built with a much stronger dual-clutch Transmission and Control Module also improved vehicle acceleration with the Vehicle Dynamic Control.

@vasco10506 Gtr built cheap wth, The chassis is one of the best out their, its FMR so the engine is almost mid engined, the Gearbox cost 20G, its got a hand made engine and has amazing quality control, other manufactures are more expensive because of a badge, even a new kia optima interior is better than a camry's interior, so whats cheap about the car costing 19k against the one costing 30k, GTR's interior isn't Porsche like, but its certainly not a cheap car

To my knowledge, the R35 GTR is not (easily) tunable in the sense that you can modify much of the default factory settings that come with the car. Its predecessors however, the R32, R33 and R34 are fairly easy to my understanding because Nissan didn't employ the same restrictions with them as they did with their latest 'baby', the R35. I'm not an engineer, so I'm not privy to the specifics, but if someone can add to this

And it's too cheap inside to even breathe the same air as naturally-aspirated supercars as LF-A, Gallardo, Italia, etc.
Anybody can slap a turbo or charger on an engine and make it fast
This is a factory tuner, not a supercar.

@TheHm3 Na, the GTR hits 60mph right at the top of it's second gear. 3 secs to just before 7 secs on this video, it's between 3.5 and 4 seconds, very fast.

People go about the ZR1 but the 458 is faster and better on a track, the GT2 RS is faster and better on a track. Now the 2012 GTR is faster than the ZR1 but we still have to wait and see how it does on tracks other than the Nurb!!! The Turbo S is a load of shit!!! It's lost to the old GTR on most tracks, but then the excuse comes in the form of the GT2 RS. Nissan are not interested in the GT2 RS... I hope this GTR kills the 458 on the track...

@flawns 4X then drive for about 1 mile let the Transmission cool down then repeat again and again... And it is covered in the warranty!!!

You're misinformed and its all rumors are lies.
First of all, previous GT-R didn't have launch control. It was a technique that was suppose to be used to get out of mud/snow (directly stated that in the owners manual). This is why it voided the warranty when used improperly.
Second of all, because people are idiots, Nissan added an ACTUAL launch control so people stfu. It lets you launch the car 4 times then it has to cool off before the onboard computer lets you do more launches.
