Understood... glad that her mom were able to see the other recitals.

..however, the employer could of arrange schedules better to accomodate the mother so she can have that time with her family...Piano recitals offer a pianist to share the joy of music with their love ones...

Unfortunately, said employer is the U.S. Dept of Education. Recital date was placed on the calendar in 8/2006. Trip originally didn't conflict. Date was changed over the spring break week in April by co-workers (obviously without consulting mom) while mom was on vacation. She had no one who was trained or could be trained enough to do the presentation that was required of her on this trip. This was the *first* recital she has ever missed, by the way. (and last, according to mom.) :-)
