I’m going to take a stab at it and say you’re American. This means you have not experienced the lag other countries deal with, due to the almost absolute inability to obtain host in a game. I’m from Australia, if we verse Americans in any game, we are at a big disadvantage, for gears... its unplayable. For games like halo 3, it’s just incredibly difficult to win in. Internet has little to do with lag when we are talking about host advantage.

In terms of the online experience. The first Gears of War is way better, but Gears of War 2 has a way better campaign though. Also if Epic would believe in designated serves then the game wouldn't lag. That shit gets ridiculous when it takes three to four seconds for my shot to register. If anything the lag is the main issue. The matchmaking is pretty bad too, but I can live with that.

It's still horrible. I've been waiting for almost an hour trying to find a room, still waiting! And like 2 days ago I was trying for over 2 hours, also tried yesterday. So far I haven't played GoW2 in 3 days because of the shit match making. But this is all different for everyone, some people may get in real fast, some people in 10-20 minutes and others in like 5 hours.

It's still horrible. I've been waiting for almost an hour trying to find a room, still waiting! And like 2 days ago I was trying for over 2 hours, also tried yesterday. So far I haven't played GoW2 in 3 days because of the shit match making. But this is all different for everyone, some people may get in real fast, some people in 10-20 minutes and others in like 5 hours.

GOW2 needs to be like halo3 in terms of matchmaking, shotgun reliability, and lag. I've had some epic lag in gow2, at least halo lag is funny....i emptied an entire needler into someone, melee'd them like 10 times in the back and when he turned around and looked at me, i died lol
