  • always ask the price before buying anything in thailand.....save yourself a lot of trouble....

  • Fake. He's just repeating what he read in his Lonely Planet book in some sort of wanker attempt to get his 4.04 minutes of fame.

  • read stickman (dot) com. all the inside knowledge you'll need about thailand.

  • Nice video: "How stupid I am."

  • HAHAHAHA 42 euro,what a noobie

  • the drivers get commission for taking you to all the destinations you dont want to go

  • You got what you paid for , what you think was going to happen for 20 baht .

Thailand is full of these little 'scams' and that's part of the learning process that's called 'discovering SO Asia' .

Get into a relationship with a Thai bargirl and you really get 'fuk, fuck'd' .

  • SO!!! you got fuk fuk by the tuk tuk , would it make you feel better to know that 100+ of tourist got taken for a ride every day and it happen more than 10, 20, ,30 years now ,still every day people still fall for this

  • Whats your problem you got caught for a few baht big fucking deal. You dont like it dont its obvious your not street wise

  • Same as any country really they all try to scam the tourists and many do get caught. However the street wise citizen can travel the world and be ok. I have been to Thailand 7 times and worked out all the scams in first few days of my very first trip. Common sense is all thats required, but good you made this video for the Thousands of people who roam around complety void of all common sense. Like they say " Common sense is not that common"

  • Seriously, how stupid can one person be.

  • it's pronounced "took took" not "tuck tuck"

  • @sillyfool5 ok.. then I got fook fook'd :)

  • @cperabo

sorry to hear but live and learn brother....

these people are a minority .... most of the thai people are awesome.

  • Well, you got offered a 20 for a day tuk tuk. At that moment alarm bells should go off. In Bangkok it's about 100 baht for a ten minute ride, if you are a local. There's and old saying, if it's too good to be true, it is.....

The driver gets his commission on a percentage of what you buy if you buy at the places he take you to. These places charge you about ten times the going rate.

  • dude you served yourself up on a platter

  • Never ever take a tuk tuk offered at cheap price. Beware of nice friendly Thai people who approach you.

  • great video

  • Sorry to see you got scammed, dude. They make 200 baht off of every store they take you to. I was on Khaosan Road and those tuk tuk's sit there waiting to scam tourists. Don't take a tuk tuk ride anywhere higher than about 30 baht. None of the prices are fixed and you can always haggle it down if you want to. Thais are very none confrontational so they're willing to negotiate. If you want to go to a temple and they say it's closed, tell them to take you there anyway.

  • i bet he didnt moan about the thai bargirl sex prices!!

  • he tried to get me to buy suits, jewellery from the "export" places and he took me to a bunch of other places too

  • Haha i got the exact same scam! Except, I had no money at all, he drove me around for ages! Did the guy who talked to you about the export place happen to be a thai guy with an english accent??

  • Next time take a taxi. You will never have problems like this with taxis. But do not take taxis that a waiting at tourist sites. Take taxis that are passing by. Taxis also are cheaper than Tuk Tuks (40 - 60 Baht for a regular ride). Only tourists take tuk tuks. Because tourists think they are cheaper than taxis. I live in Bangkok for 15 years.

  • I don't know why but tuk tuk drivers are such bloodsuckers..many of them are paid to bring customers to clubs, bars, restaurants..etc. My friends have been scammed and screwed over by tuk tuk drivers so many times, it's ridiculous. Don't take the tuk tuk unless you have no other option but you better have Thai person with you!

  • THE THAI'S CANT HELP THEM SELVES. THEY TREAT FARANG TOURISTS LIKE WALKING ATMs. WHEN THAI'S COME TO THE UK, WE SHOULD HAVE A UK PRICE, AND ANOTHER SIGN SAYING (THAI PRICE) SANOOK MAI??

  • KEEEEEEEEEE MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Anyways, there shouldn't be any reason for a tourist to ride in a tuk tuk unless you're a flaming homosexual or just feel like breathing in a weeks worth of auto exhaust.

  • LOL After four minutes he says "finally I realised......"

Looks like this guy didn't read up at all before he went!

  • Have a car crash in a Tuc Tuc and your dead, also no aircon and you breath all the Traffic fumes, do it once to say you did it, then take an aircon Taxi, but tell then to turn on the meter first!

  • TAKE BTS next time

  • HAHA

Been there done that, i dont know why we put ourselves in an situation like that, tuk tuk is by far the worst way to travel trough Bangkok.

  • jees, sounds like a bad day. I'm off to thailand in july doing a bit of travelling through cambodia, north vietnam, and back through laos. any other advice for a hopeful traveller?

  • Yup, it was only a bad ride. The rest of the trip was great and I love Thailand. Best tip is to meet someone by your hotel and have them negotiate the stuff for you. Otherwise, be smart and have fun.

  • @stuart12001 Best bet is to just find a few sites on thailand. Read up on everything from culture, to how much things cost, common scams and of course great places to visit and see.

I did this for weeks and weeks before my first time in Thailand, and never once did I overly pay for things or get scammed, or run off with a nice girl only to later find out its a ladyboy lol. (beleave me you need to watch for that in thailand atleast 15% of the girls in thailand arn't reaally girls.

  • @snapsalot i posted that comment 2 years ago, but thanks anyway

  • some really poor drivers sometime ask you to go to some kind of jeweler or something. thats because they get free food or gasoline tickets if they deliver a customer, but they also tell you not to buy anything. if they say that they can be trusted.

  • Haha, I just got back from my trip to thailand. And like you I was taken for a ride on my first day in Bangkok. After i realized it was a scam I tried to tell the Tuk tuk driver that I didn't want to go a stupid ring shop because I'll be later for my train. After he asked me for 200 baht to take me to hualumpung train station I got out of the tuk tuk and told the drive to go fuk fuk himself in thai. He replied "Kun mee keo, pum mai chaup" (you have teeth, I don't like) and sped off...Haha

  • Sounds like you got taken for a ride.

  • Fuk-Fuk'd by a Tuk-Tuk lol

  • Not true - Thailand is a wonderful place with wonderful people! You just have to know what the scams are and how to look out for them.

  • Thailand sucks ass.
