I'd like to see a major H'wood movie about cowgirls--ie Belle Starr or a female version of Young Guns--why not? There were many women outlaws or sheriffs.
The video is good but the facts are wrong regarding Belle Starr and Sam Starr. SHe married Sam Starr in 1880 and he was killed while attending a local party. He did not want to murder her. The man that she married in 1887 was Jim July Starr and he was a person who was immature. He wanted to pay 200 dollars for someone to kill her . Jim July had the mentality of a 15 year, "arrested development". He finally killed her in an ambush.
After the Annie Oakley segment the narrarator says," Another bandit. was Belle Starr". Saying "Another" implies that Annie was a bandit. She was not. Funny that whoever made this video lumps these two together.
I have it my family tree book at my mothers that shirley (belle starr) was my 4th great aunt right there in print also my great grandmothers whom is still alive mother used to house Jesse james and his brothers on there way through this area

Sitting Bull gave her the name "Little Sure Shot" when she was with Buffalo Bill's Wild west show.
This video is very inaccurate on many points.
Sorry

Annie Oakley was never a cowgirl.
She was a professional game hunter and then performed at shows.
And she did not marry Frank Sinatra, but Frank Butler.
Get the facts right.

Annie was not a bandit. She was just a great shot and made a career of showing off her talent.

My family name is Starr, my grandpa is Jack Starr, grandson to Sam Starr. Belle was much of an outlaw, she just hung out with them.

This video is informative in a humorous way. The real Belle Starr was soooooo ugly! But who was chosen to play her in a movie? Elizabeth Montgomery!
