ENO, GETS TOO MUCH CREDIT FOR ROXY MUSIC. SURE HE TREATED THE INSTRUMENTS BUT BRYAN FERRY WROTE THE MUSIC, WORDS AND SANG THE SONGS. HE CREATED THE BAND. I DO THINK ENO IS FUNNY AS HELL THOUGH.

@801liveable - I agree...on reflection now I'm older, I consider Eddie Jobson to have a done a great job for the band esp on tracks like Amazona and Bitter-sweet...Eno just had this 'aura' of being something and I guess he is..but Byran Ferry deserves ALL the credit ...even Manza and Macka don't deny that,,,he made them rich!

@barbaricamus2 - I agree...Eno going was the start of the end for Roxy..even as a 10 year when 'Stranded' came out, I knew it didn't quite have what the first 2 albums had - I still play and love those first 2 albums even now as a 47 year old sado!

I honestly beleive that there hasen't been an album since this that trully captures the magic, the beauty, the desperatuion, or even the errieness of dark romanticism.

Others have tried, and have come close, making great recirds themselves, but never to this level. Be it "Bowie's "Station to Station" or Prince's "Purple Rain"

The album inspired me to write my own version of dracula (low budget with friends)

and i have planned to use "Beauty Queen" as the final song during credits

Anyone who appreciates this track is a friend of mine. I was in my early teens when the "For your pleasure" album came out and this is one of my all time favourite Roxy tracks. I like most music but when Roxy came along there wasn't the diversity of music styles that exists today and it's maybe hard to understand now just how different they and people like Bowie were.
