It's not meant to *move* like a car moves; it's meant to *feel* like a car does. The chair moves you around so that gravity (which is always straight down here) is pulling you in the direction that you would expect acceleration in a real car to come from.

@darthghost23 it's not replicating the suspension, it's replicating the acceleration. the more the roll/tilt, the more the acceleration you experience. if in theory the chair would tilt 90 degrees backward, the driver would experience equivalent to 1 g pulling on his body, which is roughly equvialent to 0-100 km/h in 2,8 s, i.e a very fast car.

@adamslurch71 Actually, the movement is probably about right. They are in Formula One cars that in real life when braking cause in excess of 5 G's. The ones you see in arcades just simulate a fraction as people would need training for their necks to not hurt so much. This is obviously a professional homebrew or something. I bet this feels as close to the real thing.

@adamslurch71 As we cannot actually make people experience g forces through throwing the people 20 feet backwards, we use the idea that tilting forward makes you feel as though you're coming forward away from the seat which simulates the feeling of braking in a car. I don't even know why I'm having to explain this to you but either way, this will probably be a great experience and quite realistic without getting into a moving version of it.

Im pretty sure the angles are nos simulating the vehicle movements. I think the big angles are to simulate the accelerations at any direction. For example when he accelerate it goes kind of in a wheelie cause you will fill the weight on you back like if you were accelerating, opposite while braking.
