Opps I mean 150-175 dollars more then the NRX's.. If you are looking for a rod that will get the job done and is everything you ask for in a stick and looks good to you cant beat the Dobyns Extremes.. They are a fine and wel crafted stick.. The 1gen of rods had problems a plenty however Gary fixed that and the 2nd gen sticks are a sweet rod at a sick price. dont be scared if you are a Loomis guy and fish a Extreme you will want to sell all the Loomis and buy all Dobyns. they are that good value.
no cheap stuff here. all my rods cept for these and the NRX have Fuji (The NRX has Fuji Ti/Sics and Recoils grrr O hate Recoils lol) Ti/Sics or Fuji Gold Cerment <(the best guides made) all my customs will be Gold Cerment and all high end JDM sticks will have Ti/Sics.. I really wish these used Ti/Sics but I have to say I like the guides on them I have never had a problem with them and they are smooth and quite with braid! I have only fished the Extremes & they are awesome sticks for sure.
I own a DX703C, DX704C, DX705C 743C SH and a DX795 Flip. they are awesome sticks they fish well beyond there price point these rods fish way better then a NRX and are 275 dollars less... Are they going to replace my JDM Daiwa, Evergreen and Megabass stuff? NO but are they a super fine rod easy to get priced well rod YES!! IMHO these rods are more Sensitive then a GLX and NRX, The Actions are perfect and the tips are crisp and nice.. you can tell high end Graphite is what makes the blank.
I fish mainly high end JDM sticks mostly Daiwa's, Evergreen's and Megabass rods. I bought 3 Loomis NRX's and sold all but 1 within two weeks of having them not that they are a bad rod they are a great rod I just dont like them. Now to get to the I fish 5-6 days a week and carry 30 Casting setups and 4 spinning setups with me.. and for a NON JDM rod to keep a spot on my boat it has to be a good one.. most of my rods are 600-1300 dollars.. however 5 Dobyns Extremes/steez have full time spots!!
