I think if you apply the Islamic concept of Sunnah (following the example of the prophet's teachings and deeds) to Christianity, you'll find that Christians are *supposed* to follow Jesus teachings and the example of his closest disciples. Hey jy, thanks for your comment. The pity of this situation is that most muslims born in the west, especially the younger moderates, don't know the history, or excuse it. They also often grow up with western ways of thinking, which has led to an almost hybrid version of Islam, but it's not the Islam that Muhammed preached & his closest companions practiced. The Taliban are actually the truer historical reflection sadly. The cult of personality around Muhammed prevents muslims from questioning.

I think if you apply the Islamic concept of Sunnah (following the example of the prophet's teachings and deeds) to Christianity, you'll find that Christians are *supposed* to follow Jesus teachings and the example of his closest disciples. I agree that there are some poor assumptions that go into the demographic projections, but ultimately the story is the same: European birth rates are far, far below replacement levels. Jihad means struggle against everyday things in life. It can also be used to refer to war in defense of Islam, but as you can see MOST Americans are waging this "war on terror" for political reasons, not religious ones. Radicals just use Islam as a veil to fuel personal hate towards America.

No. I've done my research. I'm not spoonfed like the others are. The whole purpose is to have the 12th eman and bring allah back. To do that you must destroy and kill all infedals. Don't give me this bullcrap that Islam is peaceful.

( it goes on to say- unless they convert to Islam- because the Mushrikiin (infidels) must repent, establish Islamic prayers (Salat) and pay the Islamic tithe (zakat)). Ignorant? Or practicing Taqiyya perhaps?

Al-Qur'an Al-Kareem Surah At-Tubah Ayah Khamsah. (The Qur'an Chapter Repentance verse 5 (9:5)). Is this bigotry or is the Qur;an enough to indict Islam in it's own words. Don't lie and make excuses for this. This is a significant part of true Islam.

"But the treaties are not dissolved with thoe Pagans with whom you have entered alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in anything, nor aided anyone against you. So fulfil your engagements with them till the end of their term, for Allah loves the righteous.
"Slay the PAGANS.." Nowhere in that verse does it say infidel. You are just twisting and corrupting verses without looking into or comprehending the true meaning. Islam=peace

1manmafia, tell me the difference between a pagan and an infidel? Or rather, the Mushrikiin and Kafiriin? Is it not possible that a Mushrik may also be a kafir, and a kafir a Mushrik?
What does it mean when Al-Qur'an says that Allah is causing Islam "...to prevail over all other religion. Even though the Pagan may detest it." (Surah At-Tuba (9:33))? That sounds like an agenda to world domination to me, since this is Al-Kalimah min Allah.

wattlebough, Infidel is a general term meaning non-believer; therefore, it can mean anything from an Atheist to an Agnostic. Pagan is a more specific term to refer to a polytheistic religious group who worship more than one deity.
You are forgetting that al-Qur'an promotes peace between Muslims and People of the Book. You tell me, in these modern times, are there more who worship Odin, or more who worship God?

1man, I appreciate the sentiment that you are promoting, but it is not in accordance with the Qur'an, since the vast majority of christians, including Roman Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox, are guilty of Shirk under the definition of Surah Al-Maidah (5:72 & 73), where the word kafara and yushrik are both used in reference to those that call Jesus the Son of God, since a serious shirk is making equals with Allah, which christianity does. Therefore 9:5 applies by definition.

However, even if kafara and yushrik apply to Christians, 9:4 still infers that if they have done nothing against you, then you are to leave them be. As for the allies topic, any unjustified jihad is against Allah's word, theref
