I thing I figured it out, every statue is supposed to face the direction the letter says in the diarry! S=south and so on, realised that after I had thought about it for a while haha, but it was this video that helped me get through.

No kidding this was confusing, thanks for the video! Honestly, that book had me doing all kinds of things. And now seeing this, they don't actually face the direction they are drawn or even in reference to the compass on the 2nd page. I'm still trying to figure out how they face the directions "given" in the book. I mean, how did you figure out that North was supposed to face away and not towards the compass (as it looks to me in the book) or that West faces South and East faces away?

Exactly. That was the first thing I did and according to the book, imaging the compass between each statue as it is in the library, North faces the compass, not away from it. Then I tried facing them as they face the compass in the book. Now I see you're supposed to stand before a statue, face the middle of the room, and turn the statue how it aligns with the top of the book. Then North faces away. But naming them was unnecessary and the compass on page 2 was really what made it so confusing.

You just needed to focus even more. I did all that through the book, without watching videos. It worked, you just need to reply many times and see how the puzzle work. Like math, hard at the start, easy when figured out. Have a good day :)

The 4 statues are Matteus, Mark, John & Luke (remember the Bible?) In your little brown book you see their statues have different shapes (a lion, bird, etc..) Match the statues with the different wind directions mentioned on the compass on the ground. For example: if Matteus is marked with an N, you have to point the front/face of the statue to the north direction.
