  • The word for blue sounds like the Russian word for blue- синий

  • brown = ruskea ? Do the Finnish people hate this colour? :D

  • This is great, thanks!

  • why is the word for pink so small? hehehe

  • Because it means "pale red" at least with word-by-word translation :) Pink in Hungarian is "rózsaszín" which means (literally, again): "rose-colour".

  • but i think estonian sounds better :D

  • Finnish is really different from the other Scandinavian languages.

  • yea because finnish is not from germanic language family it is from finougric family..it looks more like estonian

  • uralic-baltic?

  • Mmm no Fino-Ugric languages includes Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian. Estonian is the only language related to Finnish. The Baltic family doesn't include Estonian, in the baltic languages there are Latvian and Lithuanian.

  • ahh, thanks for the clarification. :D i ought to study more about language, heh.

  • @callmestef It is not even indo-european!!

  • @7184610369 The other Scandinavian languages are Germanic, Finnish is not even indo-european.
