  • This song was originally published on EMI Odeon in 1961 on the EP Ji Coo and the Vikings and it found it's way into Radio Luxemburg's Top Twenty chart. The info that it was first released in 1990 is uncorrect, and I wish I knew where that story comes from.

Furthermore the band was originally called only Ji Coo's Rockband but was renamed for the European market when the record was cut. Shortly after the release the group was divided into Ji Coo's, and ,The Vikings.

  • @CountryCarlson More:

The Vikings in 1973 became Víkingarna (The Vikings in Swedish) Sweden's most popular band in the bace genre.

Ji Coo's founder Jens Carlson is still going strong and at the age of 76 he tours Sweden with his band doing about 90 danceshows every year.

How do I know? I'm his son. :-)

  • @CountryCarlson "bace genre"??? Must have been drunk, "dance genre", of course! ;-)

  • @CountryCarlson

And by the way, Gunnar Olsson was a fantastic guitar player.

  • I was fooled by the wrong info at the back of the LP:cover from the record which contains this song.

But now I know better thanks to you, thank you very much for the info.

I will change the info immediately.

  • And no one is commenting the Cars. That sturdy Mercedes for exemple;Someone has to do the dirt job.

Do you have any SCANIA ?

  • It's swinging like hell , these Boogie.

  • I know Jim,that's why I posted it.

    Let's BOOGIE!!!

  • Jim !

    Where are you ?

Ooh i know, he can't doo the boogie , he's knee's you know.

  • I'm sorry Chris,I must have nodded for a second.

On the other hand, when you get my age it's a wonder that you don't do more misstakes, haa haa.

What's wrong with his knee's? I thought he was a master at Boppin' and Twistin'!

  • As long as you don't take me for Angel , it's allright.

Think Jim is at the Champagne, to celebrate his last crash with WMG...

    Oooh what a SCANDAL'S here...

  • Love the Boogie - great video Arne! Goes to my favs. Thank you and big five stars for you! Uli

  • Thanks Uli!

The boogie is another version of the old classic, Guitar Boogie!

    But it's okay I think.
