My most pivotal memory with this song playing in the background is when the old lady speaks to you in the sealed grounds and tells you, Link, that you have many hardships to endure, and that you have no choice BUT to endure because it is your destiny. The only thing Link can do is nod his head and accept that a significant part of his life will involve unfathomable strife and suffering. This whole song seems to just say "endure". Endure because you can. Because you have to.

this song makes me feel so many things. it's probably my favorite piece in the entire skyward sword soundtrack, just because of the emotion of the music and the importance of the scene it's used in. it almost moves me to tears every time i hear it. zelda games are so beautiful and create such a vast and deep world, that somehow manages to extend out of the game and in to daily life. this piece captures that whole feeling of mystic beauty and sadness that the games hold.

I absolutely LOVE the snare in this song! It really sets this song apart. It makes the air heavy and really gives you a sense of the sadness of Gaepora and the fear and uncertainty that Link must be feeling. Music truly is an amazing thing.

It foreshadows the journey ahead and the work that Link needs to do, and the importance of his duty
