The thing is though that there is no way wood could reflect light such as that. The photo was taken at noon so the lighting is understandable in that specific location. But if it were merely a log it could no way be reflected like that.
@TheUnmaskedMagician The uploads of the few seconds of it swimming under his boat are not the clearest video ever, but you can see that it is BIG and not shaped like a Sturgeon or anything "expected." To see the 1st generation video of it costs $4000 to view ! I'm writing a book about Champ that will reveal the truth about what's in the lake. I was shocked when I found out. Hope I can convert some folks. I know you're a truth seeker. Thanks.
I was thinking just like you, that things like this cant be real, untill on april or may of 2010 me and a fishing buddy went fishing in my 2 man peddle boat and it was about 3 or 4 hrs befor sundown.I saw a very big snake like thing come out of the water, the shape of it looked just like an innertube half out of the water.Wile it was moving out and into the water, i saw a fin on its back go by.It just went strait down after that,It was only 20 ft awy from me.U cant tell me their not real.
If you go the another youtube video of champ, titled Lake Monster uploaded by metal1779 on April 20, 2008. There you will see the entire photo of this photo in which there is a shoreline in the background. I remember seeing this same picture in its entirety in 1980. Looks judging to the shoreline in the back, its larger that a tree or floating log.
They Interview Sandy whom took this picture, she said she threw away the negatives and never said anything because she was afraid of being laughed at. They did do a complete computerized analysis of this photo and it came back as the object on the photo was not altered. this picture shown here is not the whole picture, theres a sand shoreline in the background.
@SCOTTLMCLEOD the problem with what Sandy is saying is if she was afraid of being laughed at why only toss out the negatives and keep the picture?? why not toss both out?? her story has holes in it
@TheUnmaskedMagician I agree, I would guard those negatives with my life seeing something unusual like this. Its looks real but its hard to determine what it is. if you noticed on all her pics, the object is in the same position. Another sighting, its funny, even a party yacht with 75 people claimed to seen it but yet not one person had a camera. I believe there is something in that lake, what it is, we don't know. the state of Vermont does declare that it exsist because its under protection.
@TheUnmaskedMagician (second part) Also whatever it is, it has to reproduce. I don't think its the exact same one that was seen by the first settlers. The lake is huge about 100 miles long and has access to the sea. I don't kow if it is seen all around the lake or mostly in one geo-area of the lake. If its seen mostly in one area, thats probably where its nesting place is. Theres boat captains that sailed the lake for years and years and say they've never seen it.. One day we'll know what it is.
Regardless of whether this is a log or champ,I have always loved this photo. At least it looks like a creature, alot of them look like blurs or garden hoses or rouge waves.Wish she had saved the negative! And wish there was something of known size in it too.But it's still a cool photo regardless of what it is.I hope if there is a champ or nessie or ogopogo, that it does look more like a pleisiosaur, cause they're my fav aquatic dinosaur. My fav land dinosaur is the anklyosaurus.
@TheUnmaskedMagician Have u seen the ones I'm talking about that look like a garden hose? Yeah, they're serpentine, but I swear,if Champ or any of the others were that skinny,it'd be such a letdown! I always liked the art direction in the movie The Water Horse. If they're real, that's exactly what I hope they look like!
If Champ is not real then please explain the Bio-Acoustic findings of Fauna Communications that indicate large unknown animals in the lake. Seems like the uninformed have made up their minds regardless ?
@AToxicOrange very true but in order to make the claim that it is Champ they would have to have evidence supporting that claim. for right now it is an unknown and we will have to see if any evidence for or against Champ crops up
@TheUnmaskedMagician That's like saying you saw a large hairy man-like beast in the woods that was 7 feet tall and smelled terrible but you're NOT saying it was Bigfoot. What the hell else could it be ? His cousin Chump ? What does your video prove ? I don't get it.
@ManDudeYeah I am not sure. It may crop up latter. sometimes when a video gets removed from youtube by one user another one will upload the same video
@TheUnmaskedMagician I don't think there was any video, I think that was just hearsay. If there was.. please let me know where it is by replying to this or by sending me a message.
@ManDudeYeah Because there was never any video of Champ. It was just a photo. A photo of a tree trunk that floated up to the top of the water, spun around a little while floating, Sandy freaked out because she already had Champ in the back of her mind. So she saw what she wanted to see. Like most people who wish to believe in the Paranormal. The UnmaskedMagician made a FABTABULOUS point I never thought to ask. Why did Sandy just take 1 photo? Because her Husband drug her off? I think not.
@TheUnmaskedMagician That would be the one from the Okanagan (sp?) Valley in British Columbia. Different sides of the country. It's also called Nataka (sp?) due to some of the myths from the aboriginal tribes in the area.
@NoNamesLeft0102 Netflix has a show on it called "IS IT REAL" from National Geographic. They have a whole show dedicated to Champ. Better watch it quick if you do the streaming verson of netflix. NF is about to yank off even more of it's content off line including all of its documentaries ( and since I'm saying that I'll say I'm about to yank my account off netflix, and go solo with Blockbuster Online.. way more options with them now).

So not proff just the same jap jap as it has been stated in 500 documentaries.
But an other great detail in lake champlain is that bio-sonar impulses have been detected. That's freaking strange!

the whole idea of champ being a plesiosaur is somewhat old and tired. you failed to mention that there are claims of it being a large sea serpent.
also, i know nothing about photography so i'm wondering why it's so important to have the negative.
07foxmulder 4 months ago
@07foxmulder the negative is a back up in case anything happens to the picture. Also a negative will allow you to develop many of the same pictures.

@pogsquatch a large unknown animal in the lake is just that, something unknown. an unknown animal dose not = Champ.

@pogsquatch my video dose not prove anything. it only shows that there is doubt when it comes to Champ and this picture is weak evidence for Champ.

A guy says he has proof that Elvis Presley is still alive. How come? He says he has photographic evidence and produces a photograph of himself.
How does this prove Elvis is alive?
'But it was Elvis who took the photograph!'
Well, it amuses my little mind.
