h3y that's some damn g00d work man;-).. also you brought back gr3at childhood memories when u said it was a Tamiya Tank;

i built a few when i was a kid wwaaay back when but all they had were VERY simplistic toy+battery-power-motor..AND of course, my Tamiya kits only had prefab-rubber-plastic treads,

so it's great to see that 2 of u have BOTH built ur tanks with 'realistic' METAL tracks =][=

That's a really nice piece of work. Surprised you get that much speed out of the boiler. When I experimented with mine using a Mamod SE3 it wasn't generating enough steam pressure, so I used a Regner power plant instead.

Out of interest, are you using rubber and metal tracks on the tank. i used metal, but they are very heavy.

The Burner is the difference. I use a gas-burner from keifler. Further: the Boiler is a wilesco T90 with aditional heatpipes on the side.

And yes: my tiger got metal tracks. 8 kg total weight (with robot) :-)

Well, you can´t buy these tanks anywhere.

What you need is an old Tamiya Tank 1:16 with ONE engine, a Wilesco D49, a gasburner and gastank an a rc. And an Isobot, if you need a driver :-)

nice, you used a marine plant. How about the boiler? i have one that came with my Jensen, but the steam pipe threads stripped on it, so i was thinking about soldiering the pipes.

Its a standard Wilesco T90 boiler. I dont use esbit. i got a gas-burner 14 cm long.
